Whatever you do, don't go to that link.

It may cause permanent vision damage.

Especially the pic on the far left, second row.

Ok, you do know that the human subconscious doesn't register the word 'not' when 'do not' is uttered - so I blame you for not wording your warning in a way that would make me stop before I just HAD to look...

So, my subconscious saw

Shouldn't the word "glamourshots" in the url be indicative that something is not right with the link? ;)

I want to know the specs of his bike....it looks like a decent mountain bike and I've been thinking of getting into mountainbiking as road bikes are terrible with the cracked roads here.

oh but yah...that guy shouldn't post photos.

Trek. Cannondale. Specialized. GT. Any of those, at any price from about 700$ and up, and you'll have a good bike.

Here's an example of a good general mountain bike priced around 800$:
Cannondale F400 (http://www.cannondale.com/bikes/05/cusa/model-5FS4.html)

Of course you can go nuts with the $ if you have it to spend, but you can get a great bike for under a grand.

I bought a Specialized Stumpjumper (http://www.specialized.com/SBCBkFamily.jsp?sid=05Stumpjumper&JServSessionIdro ot=hn7fceuvjc.j27001) with front shocks (hated full suspension) and Manitou suspension fork in 1999 for just under $800 (I think it was $749, but I can't remember exactly) and absoutely :heart :heart :heart that bike. (Full specs listed here (http://www.epinions.com/bike-Bicycles-All-82121-Specialized_Stumpjumper_Comp__1999/display_~full_specs).) It handles terrain and ski slopes like a dream! I went for the men's model and it's still light enough for me to lug around the hills.

I the final bill for the bike was just shy of $1k because I swapped out the bike seat for a more customized seat designed for women, and a few other accessories, but I thought it was well worth it.

this begs the question (and im really curious to hear a good explanation) of why you were looking at this guy's site.

as for bikes, i have something like this, but a year older:
http://www.khsbicycles.com/compst.html
the rock shox fork is newer, i swapped the stock one on mine out for a manitou spyder r.

great bike, im really happy with it. not a true full suspension, they do label it a soft tail thanks to KHS's pivotless soft tail frame. i've found this works quite well, as it provides a little give and shock absorption, but without the downsides of an all out full suspension.

total came to about $1100 CDN with upgraded fork. smaller company, but ive been really happy with it so far, had it about 3 years.

Actually, in retrospect, he's not so bad looking. If he'd cut the hair short it would be a definite improvement. Yeah, the ears are very prominent, but can't always help that.

Bald + Mullet + Ears all together is jsut too much though.

I will probably drop the $ on this. I've read that Bianchi makes some great mountain bikes, and my Bianchi bike is insanely nice. I have heard things about Trek/Specialized though and thanks for the recommendations.

Actually, I think the plastic surgery to make his ears more flush with his melon wouldn't be too costly. Hell maybe he could user stage makeup tricks to help. As said above though, the hair needs to go.
