ok so some of my eq1 guild moved to unrest server , so i joined over there with them, i barely glanced at the manual, and got all mixed up with the betrayal quest and subclass quest level boundaries .... thought i'd be able to start in freeport get assasin (Kerran Assasin) ... then join up with my guildies in Qeynos, they all chose good..... now as much as i had my heart set on being an assasin, i gotta be with my guild, so i'm not sure on what to make him when it comes time to choose, i love being a rogue in eq1, knowing that we just straight dish out the damage... and i heard that Assasins were pretty much the damage dealers... right now i'm leanin toward Brigand... got some friends tryin to convince me to play a shawbuckler, the mez thing sounds kinda interesting, but i wanna dish out the damage... and in the descriptions on the scout site, they all say Dps ... was wondering if any one a like Dps ranking among the scouts subclasses ...

Well, neither an assassin or brigand will ever be able to live in Qeynos. If you want to be good I'm almost positive both swashbucklers and rangers deal out an impressive amount of damage (so do the bard classes actually, unlike in EQ1).

Most of what I've read makes the brigand (or rogue classes) more like the traditional EQ1 rogue class in that they have a constant stream of high DPS. The assassin (and probably ranger) specialize in one huge hit (or opening hits) but then has a longer refresh time until they can act again (and most of their attacks are from stealth).

ya damn i'm a tard ...... i guess i'm gonna have to go swashbuckler ... man ..... Is it true that a evil class can't be in a guild of good ? .... they told me that i couldn't betray the city, cuz then i wouldn't be able to get guild points or soemthin ...

Anybody can be in a guild, but I don't think you can take advantage of any of the guild benefits since none of the good NPCs would talk to you.
