Poison and Trade Skills?

Hello All! been away a long, long time after I left EQ years ago but I'm back with WoW and hope to see more WoW info on the new site.

About to hit 20 and begin delving into poisons, didnt play beta or OB so im learning as I go but I was wondering is poison viable in WoW?

Also on Tradeskills, I held off on starting a trade skill was going engeneering for locks, but have a guildmate Rogue doing that already so Im leaning towards Herbalisim especially if it helps with poiosn anyone know if it makes a difference?

Snare poison is priceless. Damage poisons are nice - they're not a huge boost, but more damage is more damage. Snare poison is really where it's at, though.

Herbalism/Alchemy are completely independant from poisons; Poisonmaking is its own skill and the items are vendor-supplied. The only crossover to Herbalism for Rogues is that Swiftthistle (for energy tea) and Fadeleaf (for Blind) are picked, but you can hit the Auction House up for whatever you need.

I cant wait till I get the wound poison and slow those paladins down a notch. Oh what site we have to show them.
