Yep, ya heard right Effsee... and other people who have been eagerly waiting for it, Mahou (http://www.mahou.org) has subbed it, dunno if any other fansub group has done it yet, but it's damn nice... it would appear that what BakaFish had subbed was a preview of this episode, and this is the full thing now, and ye gods is it beautiful... Other than the occasional watermark from Mahou (This is a free fansub, not for sale or rent) it was... just... awesome </fanboi>

Is this licenced already?...if so linking may not be wise...im not sure tho just thought i point it out just in case :P.

Just linking to a fansub group's page... they appear to mostly have unlicensed stuff, I'd never dream of DLing licensed anime that wasn't in America yet.. *cough*

It's been subbed since Feb. 15, and again Feb. 19 by other groups.
But yeah, it was great. Mostly reused footage from the Preview (it's a preview for a reason, even if it was hella long.) So we should be getting all new material starting the second episode.

Well the reason there was no fanfare was probably because it was almost identical to the prologue, so there wasn't much to talk about anyway.
I was looking to see if another episode had come out yet, and I noticed that there are two versions of episode I. The version I had was 300~mb, 30 minute .MKV, the other one is a 50 minute 700mb MKV. Needless to say I just downloaded it and am watching it now, there was a lot of stuff cut out of the one I had, which was the first one released.
The 30 min one was the prologue that you could download off the official site... a long-ass trailer of sorts. The 50 minute one was the actual full episode. The second OVA is not scheduled to be out until "Early Summer". Some places report 5/4/06 release dates but I see nothing about that on the official site.

I dunno, but they did it. I seriously thought that 30 minute thing was the full episode, the way it was cut it worked. Full thing has a little more of Anderson, has Bonnie and Clyde, and some other stuff.

Watching the OVA made me decide to watch the whole series.
That Seras is a cutie. Reminds me why I thought anime chicks were hot in the first place.

One big thing that nobody seems to have noticed is how the Konami Code was in this episode... laughed my ass off at its inclusion... and loved the general badassery of people's heads getting cut/shot in half.
I noticed but I thought it was kinda obvious from not only the up/down etc thing, but his comment about cheat mode enabled.

Yeah, sometime this week someone FINALLY made a proper sub of the thing <3 Some guy put one out earlier, but the quality was ass (4:3 when the raw was in widescreen) and I think the subs came from the manga too, but the new one thats out is a good quality one.

Edit: Wow, whats with the huge size on this one? I thought the others were all ~300 MB, but this one is double that. Then again, its been ****ing ages since I saw the other three episodes.
This episode pisses me off since it makes me want to find more war songs (which I love listening to) and Der Freischütz, neither of which are easy to come by even on the internets (as decent rips / full CDs and since it's opera respectively).

I should feel dirty for downloading German Kriegslied, not because of what they are / that it is "stealing" but because the source of these is probably some racist sack of ****, right? I kind of find it odd, to say the least, that Amazon actually sells several different CDs of Landser, Kriegsmarine, and other branches' marches, the quality I am betting on the stuff from these torrents is gonna be ass, I could just buy them... but damn that would look weird.
