On the Isle of Mara, there is a martial arts teacher named Long Shan. He has 5 students with him: Ryu, Ken, Chun, Li and Dan-sho. The 5 students of course reference Ryu, Ken, Chun Li and Dan. But there is also a 5 obscure reference beyond those 4. Long Shan = Shen Long. Shen Long is the Americanized name for Gouken (Japan) who was Ryu and Ken's Master.
