I just got the game working (woot!) and played through the Prelude with a Elven Druid (bleh I know, but it seemed a good mix of magic and fighting to learn the ropes). What I am wondering is, is it possible to start a new character after the tutorial? If so, will I be at a disadvantage because I missed out on all the leveling/loot? I don't wanna go through at that technical junk again, but I will if I must.

Thanks,
Sneakster

You'd have to do it again, although you can skip some of the long conversations... ShadowCross Bladesong

I made a character in a test module and made him level 8 using debug mode. I was able to start him out after the prelude.

lol you started chapter one at level 8? don't you think that's a little overkill?
