The Safehouse is proud to present the opening of the Safehouse – Neverwinter Nights Web site.

The Safehouse is known for being one of the largest MMORPG fan sites in existence. Offering its members quest assistance, community support, and general game information, the staff of the Safehouse continues its commitment to the community by offering a new site dedicated to Neverwinter Nights.

Features include a character tracking database, event calendar, and a module distribution library. Members will be able to join the “Virtual Safehouse”, a persistent NWN module modeled after the Safehouse Forum community and although the Safehouse is a Rogue dedicated community, we will accept all classes of players.

Those with Memberships will be receiving game server info in the mail.

Congradulations Aidden. All us moderators know you've been puttin your back into it. For those who don't know, we're all sharing the world creation a bit, but Aiddens taken the whole load of designing the website, it's content, and it's coding. Hate to be a stickler Aidden...

But I notice two issues already...

1. I just applied on the NWN site about 30 min ago - and have yet to have any email response, I'm sure it's probably like the Root Cellar where you guys manually check it but the wording it used after punching in the info didn't seem to indicate a delay. (assuming I'm right, might want to add in info regarding the delay to stop people perstering ya'll with annoying "When?"s)

2. Regarding reporting the above, I looked for a bug report link and couldn't find one... =/

I just looked into this, and the emails are not leaving the server like they should..

As typically happnes the first thing you make work is the first thing to break..

I can manually activate your account.. try logging in in a few minutes

Aye, the bug report will only hsow up once you are logged in. I added a link to the Staff tab...

An aesthetics suggestion though: in the news section, yellow links on the light-grey-colored background are hard on the eyes. They look great on the medium-blue background though.

got a couple questions. . ..

how does one check their messages? i must be missing something. . .

also, when I click Account I get this:

Thank you SX, but I still cannot log in. I have tried different capitilazations for both user name and password - are they case sensetive btw? - to no avail. FYI, when I click on the link in the confirmation email, it says that my account have been activated.

I gave up and tried to create a new account but got an error "Cannot execute query".

Any help would be appreciated.

Looks great. Signed up using my normal character name, Torch as opposed to my EZboard name.

Under Netscape 6.2 there's some issues with the java when you first log in, i'll post it to the bugs area.

Is there a place to submit modules? I haven't checked yet. We are about to release our module for download (probably by the end of the week) and I would like to submit it to ya'll peers for scrutiny.

yes, The site uses Java..

if you are not using a java supported browser, I appologize, but you will not be able to access the site.

If you are using a Java supported browser but your internet security settings are blocking java code, you can do a couple things, but the easiest is adding *.thesafehouse.org to your trusted sites...

Hey Adden, I'm having the same problem that Nluamin was having, though I never got the confirmation email to my box. Might have been that my hotmail hadn't been checked in two weeks and was full so maybe if ya could re-send the confirmation letter it might work. Otherwise, I made sure all my settings for Java in IE were ok. Thanks man

*Grin* True, but I did anyway, it didnt seem to help though, I also found that my Java options in my browser were turned off so i turned thme o nand restarted.. still didnt help. I'm using I.E I think its version 6.0.

I have no internet connection at home and not sure when i'll be able to get it but i do still want to be able to get in on this server when i want when i do get back online (im at work typing heh)

the goal is to provide you all with a full server status page so you can see who is currently logged into the Virtual Safehouse. Possibly even provide characther names.

The problem is the Server admin community is working very hard on developing the tools and scripts to perform this, they are just not doing fast enough for me..

I am not a developer, but I sure know how to steal and manipulate code well enough to utilize it, in other words I know just enough to be dangerous.

To be honest we really have no idea how many users we can support. The theoretical limit is 64 people, I have not heard of anyone reaching that as of yet.

I am also developing a second server that is a bit more powerful than the current one in case we find we reach out limit on resources.

I appreciate you all hanging in there while we do our due diligence. We want to make sure you have a solid, stable, and fun experience...

No characters listed? No events signed up for? Unchecked mail?

I realize I've done all the stuff that I can think of to indicate activity, but just to help those that have not.

(At least I'm assuming the activity thing will be used for future purges of inactive folks)

The active/inactive list is the people who have signed up for Web site accounts...

Active means they have not verified their accounts through the email sent to them.
