View Full Version : Encumberance never stops?
I noticed when I picked up a suit of armor that made me encumbered, my dex bonus dropped to 1 and turned red. Dropping the loot, I could run again, but I still had a red dex bonus of 1. Is this a bug? Is there a work around?

Sounds like a bug, at least according to D&D 3e rules. Checked official forums?

If you look at the armor it will have a line for Max Dex Bonus. On average, the heavier the armor the less your dex bonus could be. For example, if you have a dex of 16 and a bonus of 3 (I think thats right) and you put on a set of Full Plate, you bonus will now be 1 because that is the max for that set of armor, hence the Red 1 on your character screen. get bags of holding, 100% weight reduction. Most of my stats are in dex, so I was always running into this issue. Mid-chap 1, I had some decent money & bought bags. I am currently at 15 bags, 4 of which are 100% WR.
I found a nice STr boost item & it helps a lot. So, with the item, my str is 17, not 14.

Barrak is right, it had to do with the splint mail I put on.
