Stuff like this makes me want to just punch idiot parents who think they're being clever.
Heard this on the radio this morning and couldn't wrap my head around what these parents were thinking. Number 16 Bus Stop had to have been where the kid was concieved.

That's unbelievable that a parent would do that....at the same time there was a student at my school, a little girl, who's name was pronounced Shi-thaid, but was spelled sh1thead (sorry for the filter workaround...the name had an i, not a 1).

I thought that was an urban legend, like the the girl named Placenta.

I'm guessing a non-English name that had cultural implications the parents were unaware of when they named her and chose to raise her in North America?

My cousin's husband is a teacher in Queens (NY) and he had a kid with the same name in his class last year or the year before.

You can name your twins Benson and Hedges, but not Fish and Chips.
My dad had a student whose first name was "Female" and I had a girl in my grade whose name was Anita Johnson
I dont know what bugs me more. Parents like this, or parents that take an otherwise "normal" name and change the spelling on it, either because they cant spell or to make the kid special. I told my supervisor that if I could, Id get a job at the hospital as a "Name monitor"
"Sorry Miss, this name is awful. Try again tomorrow morning."

We had a female as well. It was pronounced Feh-mall-ae
I also had a student named Kerry....except her parents thought that spelled Katie, and she went by Katie, because her parents were retarded. I struggled with explaining to her parents that the letter 'r' simply can not sound like a 't', but I didn't bother.
I went to school with a dude named Guy Duer (pronounced Do-er) he also had a little brother named Nome (You know like a Gnome).
My mom also has a friend whose name was Cookie Gonzales she married a guy with the last name Pretzel, now her name is Cookie Pretzel.

My physics teacher in highschool's last name was Faher. (German, I believe. Pronounced "fair")
...so of course, his sister was named Taxi, his brother Bus, and his name was Science. (He went by Jack)
Science is an awesome name.
Probably not something I'd bestow on someone who has just recently scratched "Learn to breath oxygen" off the list of lifetime goals, but if you choose to switch to it, maybe sometime in your teenage years...

Not a bad pickup line either:
"Hey baby, want to donate your body to Science?"
I know a guy who had a professor by the name of "Proton Kabobo", or something very similar. Apparently the professor's brother was "Neutron Kabobo"

In middle school we had a substitute, Mr. Mann -- first name Harry. As if it weren't already rough trying to teach 11 to 14-year-olds.
