how do realm ranks work?

I hear people talking about getting added skill from realm ranks and such, and I know I read about it in a patch awhile ago, but I can't seem to find it. Could someone explain to me how realm ranks add to your skills?

when you hit rank 2, you get +1 to all skills, but it doesn;t show up in your skill window. pretty sure realm rank counts towards the +skill cap of level/5 + 1. every rank after 2 you get another +1 Dither Disgustipated

important detail, from my souvenir, u don't get the +1 at rank X , but at Rank X L1.
(example: +1 to skills at rank 2L1)

Nope, not correct.

Base envenom of 7, wearing +2 gloves, the *second* I hit rank 2, level 0 (R2L0) I was able to apply the level 10 dot poison.

how many points do you need for one rank?

Rank 2 is somewhere around 7300 RP (for sure), Rank 3 is somewhere around 30,000 RP (not so sure).

Hey, while we're on the subject, Quid Pro Quo the dirt on the realm rank titles!

Hibernia:
1. Savant
2. Cosantoir
3. ...? I'm still R2 and haven't asked anyone

Just from observation, I think Albion is:
1. Warder
2. Guardian
3. Myrmidon
4. ...?

...and Midgard is (?):
1. Skiltvakten
2. Isik Varfhawhatever
3. ...?

Not sure it counts toward the cap. Remember the test I did with Parry awhile back showing my visible bonus didn't decrease due to my realm rank so either Realm Rank comes after items and is capped or stacks. Sunthas Bayne

Yeah, I am gonna get +9 in sword items and see what my weaponskill is before i hit next rank, then see if it raises, to hopefully clarify this.

Realm rank will give you 1 to your skills per level. Read Mythics notes on that. The bug is that it doesn't show it on your window yet. They have mentioned the bug in the notes on herald.

Realm rank 2 also gives you a special ability. When ever a Keep has been defeated in any realm, it will display who took it and what realm now has control of the Keep on your info window.

you can check out the titles by browsing the herald. it lists them now, in the guild database.

Hibernia goes Savant 1, Cosantoir 2, Brehon 3, Grove Protector 4, Raven Ardent 5, Silver Hand 6, then who knows because there are no Rank 7 or higher Hibernians that I can find.
