i was reading the bard page and it says that with new uber hammer clerics can do 44 dps plus the proc, last time i checked thats out dmg bards or even porly dessed warriors... so now clerics can heal and fight, everquest is gonna be ruined, with the new "warior" cleric and uber wizzy, soon there will be uber ervery thing then some time a single groups could solo any god... o ya plus now the new lvl cap...... im so confused

you can't really accuratly gauge a bards DPS, as the true power of the bard is how much they raise the efficiency of an entire group

IE

lets say you take 5 rogues who do 100 dps each
add a bard who plays nothing but warsong of vahshir

each rogue will now do roughly 125 dps

you could argue that the bard without ever making contact with a mob is adding 125 dps(extra 25 dps per rogue) to the group


clerics being able to melee a little bit in XP groups is not a big deal in the grand scheme of things
just gives them more to do while a guild clears to the uber mobs


new level caps always have trivialized the last expansions encounters. mudflation baby
