Well in anticipation of working on a new series of sigs in the near future, I did a large number of screenshots. In the process of doing so I started wondering what the rest of you ended up looking like.

You're good, Sabatini. That Jack Scratch is one of the best toons I've seen in CoH.
I wouldn't say it's one of the best I've seen, but I'm really happy with it. Took alot of screwing around to get the look to have the feel I wanted. I'm glad other folk seem to like it though. :blush:
Anyway since Coggins can't seem to read the TGA format his screenshots come in, I took a shot of his character 'The Raging Italian' for him last night while we were playing. Can't wait to see him fighting the 'Family' in game. That's going to be classic. He still needs a Pizza symbol or shield though. ;)

we're both 12th I think. I'm about a bulb away from 13. Super leaping is nearly in sight. :)
Cool, I'm recently 11th so in range. We should hook up, grab Meddik since he said he needs some meatshields and tear up some foolios who think they can terrorize the citizens of Paragon City.

Sounds like a great plan to me. I'm definately loving smaller groups of less than 5. Even better with friends.
Well it seems that in smaller groups and with people who aren't pickups, that the chances of the "bum rush from hell" are greatly reduced. Seems like large groups always end up with folks just jumping into the middle of 20 mobs and then complaining that the healer let them die (perhaps sparky you might want to stay in range and los of the healer).

15 scrapper here and a RL friend of mine should be 10-15 tanker by sunday... maybe we can group some next week (I'm out of town until sunday)

I wish that was my problem. I keep getting in groups where people with no conception of crowd control do exceptionally sloppy pulling which leaves me neck deep in trouble where even the most competent healer couldn't save me.
The small group I do with Coggins on occasion is nice. 1 scrapper, 1 tanker, 1 blaster, 1 controller. Tanker taunt pulls, blaster lays out a rug of caltrops, and then we have no trouble taking them out once they get to the other side. When done right we scarcely notice the lack of a Dedicated healer.

Yea Marbh we definitely need to get together. As for the grouping, I have DEFINITELY noticed how much better it is in a small group with buddies over a huge mess of a team that just keeps bum rushing. I have been in 4 pickup groups I think, and 3 of them sucked. Out of those 3, in 2 instances the defender left quickly after he/she realized that the group leader was just trying to mass pull 3 bosses plus minions that were purple to have the group. :blink

ok i have one question,and yes its a noob one,how do i make it so my char. faces the camera,i can only get 1st and 3rd person view from behind?I just got CoH yesterday and ive been wanting to take pics of my toons

Press and hold the center mouse button/wheel and you can adjust the camera facing. I believe Page Up can be used the same way. Page Down resets the camera back to normal.

How do you get the camera to move in front of your character so that you can take a good screenshot?

Press in the mouse wheel and hold while you pan the camera.

that didn't work for me - found that pressing and holding Page Up key whilst depressing the right mouse button and scrolling with the mouse was the best way for me to pan the camera around to the front

Save it to disk and change the extension to .jpg
it's a geocities loophole. if you're on IE or Netscape it opens as an image. Haven't found a fast reliable image host, so I loophole geocities.
That only works in IE. Mozilla won't disobey the MIME type by default, it's a security hole.

hehe well, if I had intended on her being ambiguously male/female I would have named her Miss Androgynous.
The ambiguity stems from the fact that she is the smallest female char model and is a tanker. Where does she keep that mace she's always pulling out of 'somewhere'
