I am having such a blast playing CoH, I think it deserves a shout-out from me and everyone at the safehouse who feels the same way. What NC has accomplished so far with this amazing release is completely deserving of praise, and so I'm praising it!
CoH rocks and if you haven't tried it yet, go get your copy and see for yourself!

4 weeks in beta and 4-5 weeks into release....
The "cool" factor has not worn off one bit. The game is so different it keeps me captivated.

I'm having fun with it so far - need to start grouping with you guys tho, because pickups still suck! ;)
yeah, once you get steady groups rolling the game is even more fun.

Yes, when it comes down to the basics, there are two critical things that Cryptic got right with regards to CoH:
1. It makes you feel heroic. The moves, powers, and the ability to jump into a group of a dozen green minions and know you're coming out on top because you're the hero and they're not.
2. It's FUN. That unquantifiable part of a game which regardless of the technical details and groundbreaking features of the game, you can simply say "Yes, but IS IT FUN?".

yeah, the fact that from the time you enter you feel like a hero really adds to the game. You get to styart off and actually stop a pursesnatcher. It's not like walking out to eh killing fields and laying into rabbits or rats, you feel like you're doing something.

I remember my first "real" fight outside the training area...
I approach a group of gangers and try to pull of one (I had to kill several of them).
3 of them aggro and one or two start shooting with uzis... I almost freaked out - omg, they are shooting me with uzis! Drats! Run!
Well, after I had finished three of them at once, I noticed: Well, I AM a superhero after all! *flex*
