New sleepers quest

Killing the first two named in sleepers, we have gotten items called "Founder's velium creation" and "stinted velium drape"-Talked to a quest npc across from prog and he tells you a story and gives you a 10 splot bag asking you to combine things from mobs here, anyone find any of the other pieces for this?

Such beasts were unimaginably powerful and a group of three tireless adventurers would have no way to take on such a monster. We were honestly frightened by the story and we feared for anyone who tried to embark on a journey to find such a beast. But as I said, Milas paid no heed to our warnings and went off on his own anyway. We really had no idea what to think at that point, but we knew that we [had to do] something, before Milas got himself killed.'

Because he was our friend, we had to go after him to make sure he didn't do something he shouldn't. We followed his trail all over Norrath before finally finding out that he had made it to the [ancient tomb]. We found out where the tomb was and raced there to try and catch up to him.'

Paldar Bladesoul says 'The walls shined dimly with a glacial velium bile the likes of which we had never seen before, not to mention the fact that they stood hundreds of feet high. I'm sure you felt the same way the first time you came here. The awe-inspiring architecture clouded our minds for a brief moment while we took it all in. Truly, we thought, Milas had stumbled onto something magnificent, albeit terrifying. We proceeded through the tomb carefully, avoiding the various golems and gargoyles that we encountered, all the while trying to locate any sign of Milas. We came to the door directly across from this room and my first thought was, ''What's in here?'' Without a moment's thought, we moved forth towards the [door] to open it.'

It took a great force to muster it open, and what we saw when we opened the door terrified us both. Beyond the door lay a humungous golem, over three times the size of the normal golems. We tried to close the door before it noticed us, but it was too late. It charged for us, the smaller golems following behind. I tried to fend off the huge golem to try and let my beloved wife escape. Unfortunately for me, I couldn't see whether or not she was able to escape, and for all I know, she could have died right then and there. As for me, I was quickly done in by the might progenitor, and have spent the last. . . eternity here [waiting for] Ulessa.'

I've been waiting for quite some time for someone to come to aid me in my struggles, but I don't know anyone who will help.'

So just like a gnome, he was stubborn and wouldn't listen to a thing we had to say.'

Instead we found the creator golem, set in that room to create more golems for the ones that failed. I'm sure you can imagine [what happened] after that.'

I made it out of the eye of that creator beast and fumbled my through this forsaken tomb, barely missing the various [beasts] of burden along the way.'

One of the Crusaders (dragons who were to be the successors to the Warders when the Warders ascended) tells the quester to collect essence(s) that match the quester's nature (assuming class). Likely, this is what the various Essences are for.

Unfortunately, in typical Verant fashion, the quest text given by the Crusader is cut short, so details on the quest are still to be discovered.

Yes, ethereal black dragon essence does (or at least did at one time) drop.

I don't believe the essences are related to the quest from erudite ghosts. As one of the posters above mentioned, one of the new mobs in Skyshrine specifically asked for the essences of the ancients and their constructs, and specifies that these essences should match the essence of the quester (ie, have the right class listed).

One bit of information which may help: Some of the mobs that drop the none/none quest pieces required for the ghost quest are *rare spawns* which may or may not be up during a given clearing of ST. I'll see if I can find a list I made of all the named yard trash that I've seen.

The quest involving the dragon essences is a new Skyshrine quest (ie, only available on Stormhammer at this time.)

The quest NPCs that mention the dragon essences currently have bugged text that cuts off, so aside from knowing they want them, we aren't sure what to do with them. A GM told me last night that they would be fixed in the next patch.

If/when they're fixed, I'm sure someone will post the results. ;-)

I got one of the BPs. I think it was off the 2nd Warder, definitely not 4th. Use it for haste when doing bow aggro/dmg (main haste in range) and for the slight resist bump from statue. I think the non-quest items can drop off multiple warders, i.e. partially shared loot tables.

According to quest text I remember seeing from stormhammer....

Corrupted Gargoyle Stone (or maybe was corruped forbidding stone) plus a rare drop from the scorn banshees (cannot recall the name of that item) are requested by one of the new quest NPCs in skyshrine in a specific quest.

Most likely combine seems to me to be one of each of the six none/none items, plus one of each "color" warder drop for your class group, in the 10-slot bag. "Prismatic Storm Dragon Claw" was probably supposed to be "Primal Storm Dragon Claw", or the other three claws were supposed to be "prismatic".

All other drops (aside from the warder eyes, which are most likely just resistance stone replacements) come from various mini-boss mobs throughout the zone, and I would bet they are for new skyshrine quests (like the corrupted gargoyle stone definately is).

I am no longer on stormhammer, so I cannot fetch the quest texts there now... perhaps someone there can post the texts here, or else I suppose we wait until the revamp of skyshrine goes live to all servers to find out that stuff...

If you talk to the Crusaders and get past the point where the text is cut off (see my last post in this thread), they very clearly ask for two items.

Grendish the Crusader asks for the monk/BL items and Charayan the Crusader asks for the plate melee items. That is all that I have personally confirmed, but I assume that there is also one for the chain melee items, one for the caster items, and one for the priest items. They ask for the 2 items from each of these groups that are not the warder drops.

I'm not sure what quest the warder drops are for, but I am hoping that it is a follow-on quest from the same NPC after you complete this one.

You need very high faction for these quests, probably ally if not max ally.

I am going to go out on a limb here and say that I don't think the 10 slot container is related to the class specific quests.

My guess is you turn in the two minor class items to the quest NPC and get a 4 slot container to combine the warder items in. The turn in NPCs seem to be be bugged and will not accept the correct items even with max faction.

Well here is what I know. Back when the new Sleeper's Tomb was opened on Legends, there was a huge 6 hour event. Throughout the event some leaders emerged. We were not supposed to win the event.

At one point, the 300 people there were so organized that I had pulled the 40 mobs protecting a named dragon individually between waves and had gotten him solo. The GMs froze my character and told me that if I brought the dragon into camp, it would end the script prematurely. So I was frozen and unable to do anything as the script completed itself. Through all odds, we pulled it out and protected the tomb from the giant and renegade dragon hoards. At the end...10 leaders were chosen to recieve nice items. 5 were given artifacts of tremendous power at the time and the other 5 were given mediocre end game items but with promises they would be named after us. Those 5 people were hmmm me, Scornful (cleric), Ilsi (wizard), Sarthis (monk), and I forget the 5th person. It was told to us at that time that those items would be the result of a quest in the New ST involving drops from the new warders.

It is an easy bridge of logic to look at the items we were each given and see that the classes of the corresponding quest items match up to the classes on our uniquely named items. This was before anything was mentioned about Skyshrine being revamped. I have attempted to figure out the quest, but just like here, there is a lot of info I could not unearth. That is pretty much the extent of my knowledge on the subject, I hope it helps somewhat.

You are all under the impression that for some reason all ten slots must be filled before the combine. This wouldn't be the first time VI released a combine container with many extra slots, so don't let that ruin our perception of what could be needed as a final result for the quest.

My guess is that there are at least 3 quests (or maybe a quest and a 2 part quest).

The reason they have not been solved is that they are bugged. First when ST was released the quest mobs (Crusaders in Skyshrine) weren't even in the game. Then they added the quest mobs in with cut-off text so that you couldn't follow the key words. Then someone figured out the key words and the quest has a faction bug so that even if you hand in the right items, you can't continue the quest.

Anyway, 2 of the class-based drops are clearly for the quest that the crusaders are giving out. Once you get the keywords right, it's quite clear what they are asking for. My quess is that the other 4 class-based drops (the ones off of the warders) are either the second half of the quest or a follow-on quest from the same NPCs.

This leads me to think that the all/all quest drops go into the 10 slot bag.

If SoE ever gets around to fixing the Crusader quests, maybe then we can eliminate some of the drops we are finding and the rest of them probably go into the bag.

i'm with bengali here, that is the monk/beastlord crusader. i have to check but i think i have both items he asks for, the opalescent and the heart... course i am kos atm but faction work can be fun.

Grendish is definitely the monk/beastlord quest NPC because the items he asks for are the ST quest drops that say mnk/bst on them.

I would recommend that nobody try handing in anything to the Crusaders right now because the quest is bugged. Your faction is too low even with max ally CoV.

I would think it is grendish but I am not 100% sure.

Just wanted to confirm that Jortreva the Crusader is indeed the RNG/ROG crusader. Turned in the 4 Etheral Essence and got Fitz earring back.

On a side note, the earring really needs to be upgraded considering the risk/reward and how boring it is.

Even the Essence Perl (old ST quest) had better hp/resists.

And the spell itself is a joke, considering its not stacking with many ranger spells. Please put another effect or change it. Very silly to put an effect that rangers cant use on a ranger/rogue earring.

I turned my 4 essenses into Jortreva last night and he ate my pieces(This is on the Brell Server)

BTW I am a 64 Ranger and I was ally to him. I petitioned a GM and she said she could not help me.

Could the quest be fixed only on a few server? Maybe you need max ally faction?

After I handed in the items he gave me 4 messages that he did not want to talk to me and to go away. I assume that was one for each essense I handed in.
