high elf illusion and epic

i read that in order to get the high elf illusion mask you need to redo part of the epic. is it possible to get it from the first time around doing the epic and still do everything correctly in the quest itself?

You can get the HIE mask before Rage or Rage before the HIE mask.

Stanos is a LOT harder than V'ghera, and if you don't already have your epic, why you'd choose an illusion mask over it is a mystery to me because V'ghera will despawn if you hand him Stanos's head.

Incorrect. You can hand in Stanos' head and pull V'Ghera. He doesn't despawn immediately. You have approx 30 seconds to aggro him before he despawns.

Without an clear DE hut (only one DE left) you will not be able to spawn General without getting aggro. If you can spawn him, you will have a hard time with trying to give general the head

If I recall from when i got my mask. He despawns as soon as you hand in the head.

I had 2 Druids clear the hut. One Druid pacified them and kited them around, Left Brigidar in the hut so I could go and turn the box into Brigidar and spawn General. The other Druid pacified General and I turned Stanos' head into General V`ghera and he did despawn right after I hit trade.

The General despawned on me as soon as I handed in the head. (That was about 2 weeks ago)

He despawned for me on hand-in too. Oh and a word for the wise the HE illusion was fun for about a week then I started to regret all the time I spent doing epic over again and getting the damn head = \. The guise is over rated.

hmmm did he not despawn immediately for anyone else? The times I've done this he has stayed up
