Anyone else out there love this show?

I honestly think it's one of the only quality "sitcoms" out there these days. It's brilliantly casted, has great writing, and I just love the characters.

I really hope that FOX is patient with it even though it's at a bad slot on Sunday night at 9:30.

I can't say there's one character I love the most, because almost all of them are so unique and disfunctional in their own way.

Watch it a couple times and you may get hooked like me.

It is a great show, but I'm afraid its probably too wierd for a lot of people. Much of the humor is pretty subtle, and subtlety hasn't helped many shows remain on the air in recent years.

I've been watching it since day one. I must admit that I started watching because of Portia DeRossi. It IS a very funny show though. There are so many subplots and angles to follow, the characters are all unique, and it has that "Wonder Years" narrative that is a nice device. The whole angle with the kid having lustful thoughts for his cousin is histerical.

Much props for this show. It's about the only thing I turn on to watch lately. Well, baseball starts Sunday, much to the wiofe's dismay

Anyong!

And yeah, one of my favorite sub-plots is George-Michael (name kills me haha) being in love with his cousin, and doing his damndest to prove that they aren't really related....

It's probably one of the more intelligent comedies on Fox. It's not just a bunch of jokes and sight gags that makes Arrested Development funny, but the entire storyline. It's just funny to watch the episodes develop and each event contribute more and more to a big train wreck.

For some odd reason though this show and Wonderfalls were perhaps two of the most critically acclaimed shows this year yet they don't see to have the same draw as some of the other shows on TV.

I love this show. IMO, the best comedy since Andy Richter. My favorite character is George Michael too

I have watched it a few times, nothing I would activley try and watch every day, but cute. I have been trying to cut back on my Fox viewing, the last 5 shows I saw on Fox that looked like they were going somewhere were yanked before there time and yet the Simpsons, 8 damn year of thrown together plots and Homer acting like an idiot remains.

Homer is cute, but I can only laugh at his doing something idiotic so many times, turns out that line was drawn about 7 years ago.

For some reason, smart shows don't do good on fox ....

Arrested Development is the best American sitcom of the last decade.

And I'm so naming my daughter Maebe.

Pulling this off page 3, sorry.

I just had to say, I had hadn't been around on Sunday nights to see the show since the first/second week, but I was able to catch it last night.

This really is the most intelligent sitcom I've ever seen. You don't feel, at any point, that it has been dumbed down to cater to the average viewer.

So, anyway, if you're not watching it, try to find the time -- it's worth it.

Andy Richter's show was brilliant, too; and, it was also on Fox. It was cancelled after like, 6 months, then brought back for 6 months ... only to be cancelled again. That's not a good sign. Anyway, hopefully the overwhelming critical acclaim will keep Arrested Development around long enough to develop a fanbase. However, it's probably going to need a change of timeslot for that to happen.

The best "sitcom" on television right now is Scrubs. And its lightyears beyond any of the others.

You're kidding, right?
Scrubs is great, sure, but seriously, how many times can Elliot and JD's relationship be interupted by Foley? :P
I stopped watching it awhile ago, watched the ones with Michael J Fox, then stopped again. It's just not as interesting anymore, at least for me.

I'm sorry, but the guy, JD's resident, whos name escapes me for some reason, his dialog never EVER gets old.

"Your the one thats the dolphin lover"
"Thats dolphin trainer lover, my boyfriend is a dolphin trainer..."
"Aw gee, thats too bad, that whole dolphin thing really made you seem more interesting"
