Eagerly anticipating the third.

Jessica Biel is in Blade III, in leather and uses a bow...so it cant be all bad.

The only real complaints I had about 2 were:

1) Some of the CGI fights were fake / lame looking. This isn't really a big deal, since this was one of the first movies to do CGI human fights.

2) Some of the real fighting was a bit cheesey. I could have done without the wrestling moves.

I loved the first two, and can't wait until the third as well.

I also loved the first two. I even liked the CGI fight at the end of two. I thought it looked ALOT better than the wire fighting fight scenes that were in every other movie that came out at the time.

Looking forward to the third movie.

I was one of those guys that started cracking up when I saw the preview for it in the theater. Good god Wesley, do a different role. I felt like I was watching a preview for Rocky XIX

Why should he? Snipes is good at blade. Acting is a job, just like whatever you do.

Playing a role three times is overkill? What about Sean Connery as James Bond or Harrison Ford as Han Solo and Indiana Jones?

sacrilege!!! :frown :oops :hmph

Wesley is Blade. Blade the best, Blade 2 was ok, had some very cool elements. I hope Blade Trinity is as good, if not better than the first one.

Lol 3 quotes..I dunno, I loved the first one. The second one was ok, but the third preview was using the exact same catch phrases as the first 2. I just thought it seemed desperate. "First he battled their gods...then their demons.." Blah. I'll probably go see it anyway :P

Saw it tonight and I enjoyed it. Decent story line. liked the fighting loved the toys.

with one small exception
[spoiler:38f86e95d7] waaaaaaaaaaaaay too much product placement. Everybody did everything on a Mac , Except for the FBI they had Alienware laptops. :crazy

and every time Jessica Biel ( who definatly looks good in leather) was prepairing to fight vampires. she'd have to pull out her Ibook and change the playlist in her Ipod because she'll only fight the forces of evil while listening to music on her Ipod (tm)[/spoiler:38f86e95d7]

Interesting Trivia: Jessica Biel inadvertently destroyed a $300,000 camera when she shot it with a bow and arrow during a scene (she was directed to "aim for the camera"). Director David S. Goyer intends to include it on the DVD release.

The difference is that Connery and Ford can act. Snipes can't.

I have not seen 3, but my friend gave me the skinny. From the sound of it the entire thing is one giant commercial for the Ipod.

That, and of the three main characters, the other non-blade guy apparently makes the movie worth watching because of his mad Indiana Jones style of fighting.

Glad to see that Ryan Reynolds is getting some work. I though he did a great job in "Two Guys, a Girl, and a Pizza Place" back on ABC and thought he'd turn out to be a decent actor.

Saw it yesterday, decent popcorn movie. The ipod thing bugged me though. Ya know, if your gonna go out hunting vampires, don't you think it might be a good idea to take the earphones out of your head so you could, oh I don't know, HEAR THEM??? :crazy

Of course not, you don't need to when you can rely on your sight. Better to surround yourself with mirrors so you'll see them coming from any angle. :p

Oh nos! Psi has been zombified! :zombie Otherwise why would he groan? Huh? Yeah, that's right, only zombies groan. Sorry, you're a super guy but I've seen the movies, you have to kill zombies before you're really sure or they end up killing the token talkative black chick and the ex-military homeless man. And we all love the homeless guy so no mercy.

Blade III was much much MUCH better than Blade II was, but The first one is still the best. The dogs and the dude from Van Wilder (name escapes me atm) were some funny ****. As for HHH, meh. He didnt talk too much, but I can say that I do indeed want a dentist to make me some Platinum Plated Fangs now....

Oh yeah, Parker Posey is sexy as hell in this movie :O

I liked the movie alot. Good action. I liked the badguy. Loved the King character. Weapons were cool, but most of them were underused.

Overall, I give it a J+

I liked it alot too, and face it, these days product placement is unavoidable. Ryan Reynolds was toally hawt. I wish I had claimed the wall poster in time... no clue why out of the 3 wall sized posters we got... when all our managers are male... and presumably strait, someone got his poster before I claimed before it did the day it came in =((

Should be a good role for him considering he's already sucked the life out of the WWE...

Snipes was excellent at martial arts moves in Blade I (for a non-professional), and the combo with music and snappy/funny remarks made it hillarious and nice to watch - there was style.

Blade II was an overshot, a try to make it all even more horror x 2 etc ; Snipes also either got older or didn't train that much anymore, only about 2 or 3 takes were fun to watch.

Still a Snipes fan, like his witty 'style'. Will watch.

I liked the movie a lot. Some good laughs, good action...lots of dead vampires. Sure there are plot holes, but so what.
Better than the second, close behind the first, I'd say.

As far as Wesley Snipes and martial arts...check out his bio sometime. He's been doing martial arts forever. Cappoeira and one or two others I believe. I'm not definite on the details but I know he's a long time martial artist.

It is a Blade movie, you cannot go into it expecting a real movie. It is a cheesy action movie with vampires.

That being said, I enjoyed it. The unfortunate part was that Drake is in the movie for like 15 minutes total, and he just seems like a cool character to work with.

Finally got to see it last night and personally, I thought it was better than the previous 2. Of course, there were a few things that bothered me though.

[spoiler:551eb24205]* The scene where Triple H's character fights King. There was a part where Triple H tossed his head back as if he got punched, but King's arm was on his side! C'mon, Triple H, you're a wrestler, you can do better than that!

* Way too much blatant sponsorship and advertisement of Apple/HP, Macs, and Ipod. No this has nothing to do with the fact that I don't much care for Apple, and I can understand the sponsorship, and the fact that Jessica Biel's character gets "in the mood of killing vampires when she's listening to her music," but the scene with her tossing her headphones on as if it's all badass was just too much.[/spoiler:551eb24205]

Other than those couple of things that were just a bit over the top for me, I loved the movie

I noticed that too. Kind of chuckled and throught the exact same thing as you.

And yes the whole product placement for the iPod was rather annoying.
iPod this.
Cant do it without my iPod
Ok, let me load up my iPod
She needs her iPod
My iPod gets me in the mood

THROW OUT THE iPOD!!! Sheesh!

I can't believe I didn't think of this sooner, but if her iPod was so uber, why the hell did she have to keep uploading songs to it? Why didn't she have her entire hard drive on that thing? I don't have an iPod, but a Creative Zen instead, and I have my entire HD's worth of music on there.

I think because she was only adding the songs she was in the mood to listen to while kicking butt.

But then...didn't she take the earplugs out just when it was time to make the big important shot?

Ah well, I still really liked the movie.

Don't know about the iPod, but with the Zen, once I've uploaded all of the music from my HD onto the gadget, I don't need my PC/Laptop to make song lists. :pulid

Honestly, when I heard the whole "She likes to listen to music while fighting" the first thing that popped into my mind was Iron Eagle. :D
Second thing was how stupid it was to do that in her situation. Sneaky vampire is a whole lot harder to hear with thrash music in your ear.

Fair enough. I was tired last time I posted so I kept it short.

Watching "Blade: Trinity" was like watching a film that was being made up on the spot as it progressed. One wonders just how much of a script had been completed before any cameras started rolling on this walnut of a movie.

There are moments where the dialogue, action, and physics simply makes no sense. For example: given that the reward for service as a familiar is to eventually be made a vampire, why would one of them willingly choose to die just to frame Blade for murder?

The secondary characters are immediately forgettable. There are also several teeth-grinding scenes that go on way too long. What's funny is that several times during the movie, you can see Snipes watching what's going on around him with a completely detached look, as if he's realizing with the audience just how stupid the movie is.

As a villain, Dominic Purcell is a bland lump. Maybe I'm just spoiled, but nowadays I expect any actor who plays Dracula to be at least halfway intriguing, and not ride the finely honed skill of simply looking like a frowning underwear model. Can someone tell me why the chase scene that took place after the doctor was killed happened at all? I thought the whole point of digging Drake up was to have him kill Blade, and here he is running away from him? Tough guy, that one.

I have always been of the opinion that Wesley Snipes is just about the perfect actor we have today to play the role of Blade. I also really dig Kris Kristofferson as Whistler. (Jessica Biel plays Whister's daughter for some reason, even though there is literally nothing within the movie to reinforce that beyond the character's last name.) But the only person who gets anything out of this movie is Ryan Reynolds. His schtick is the same as it was in "Van Wilder" and "Two Guys...", but at least it's a funny one.

Plus, try as they might, the filmmakers have not come any closer to getting me to buy an iPod.
