Atari Announces Neverwinter Nights 2

Atari announced that Obsidian Entertainment (http://www.obsidianent.com/) will be developing the upcoming Neverwinter Nights sequel. Obsidian Entertainment was formed from employees of the now defunct Black Isle Studios, which were responsible for games such as Fallout, Baldur's Gate, and Icewind Dale.

Obsidian Entertainment's press release can be found here (http://www.obsidianent.com/press_releases/nwn2_announcement.html). Neverwinter Nights 2 is scheduled for a 2006 release.

Considering that the entire Baldur's gate series still stands as the greatest RPG computer game ever in the history of RPG computer games period, I vote this good news. I hope they are able to breath life into NWN the way Bioware wasn't able to.
