Well after growing tired of waiting for Griffin Tech to ship my iTrip I ordered almost 2 months ago, I drove north about 30 minutes yesterday and picked one up form the local Apple store..

For those of you taking a wait and see approach on these, I can say with the utmost certainty they kick much ass.

Of the 3 FM transmitters I have used with my poddy, it has the cleanest signal output, and I have a complete choice of frequencies from 88.1 all the way up to 107.7..

Changing freq. is as simply as playing the freq. mp3 file for the channel you want from a playlist. it sends a small inaudible series of beeps to the unit which sets the new freq.

Its worth the $35, and then some..

I was almost positive I was going to pick one up for myself, but when playing around with somebody elses we had a little trouble.

We couldn't seem to get a clean signal on a FM station to last longer then 30 minutes while driving from the suburbs to the city, but I dont think we found a solid station that had no other line noise coming in on it.

How long do you use it in the car for for drives? Ours lasted about 30 minutes before we had to change stations, which wasn't really that bad. ------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

I find that 87.9 is the cleanest around the south San Francisco Bay area.. and fortunately this is the first unit that goes that low..

I drove around for about 75 miles today shopping and had no issues.
