Hi guys,

Not being a beta tester, I can't post on the WoW Boards, but I read them periodically and I have a few questions / comments that I'd appreciate really if someone could post them there. And hopefully get some kind of reaction...
Thanks :)

========

Imp Ambush: I think this should be in the Assassination tree as it's really THE skill that kills. It requieres sublety to get within range, yes, but it's an assassination thing. Imp Sap is a subtlety skill that leads to an attack (eventually)... So I think this talent should change tree.

General Thoughts: After looking at the Warrior talent tree and even the Shaman tree, I just don't understand something...
The rogue is supposed to be the melee DPS class, yet its talent are very diverse (giving new damage ways or non-damage related skills)
Yet every class seems to have the same talent opportunities and effect to raise crit hit %, to hit %... Warriors even have a DPS % increase talent that rogues don't. And even Shamans have a PASSIVE swing speed increase opportunity that ROGUES as meleers don't have: On a crit hit, the next few swings recieve a 20% speed increase.
I'm not asking that these be removed from the other classes trees, just wondering why rogues aren't getting such thing? Sure they have S&D, or Blade Fury, but those are not Passive. They cost energy and have cool down timers. Provided a Warrior crit % is around 20% (seems easily doable) that means every 5 swings on average he's gonna crit, therefore he gets a swing speed boost every 5 hits... this boost lasting 3 hits (I think) this means the Warrior is on 20% speed increase 60% of the time!
Rogues, as DPS melee masters don't have that opportunity. And I just don't see why? Plus those talents aren't on a 30pts requierement...

The numbers may be a bit off, but the reasoning is the same.

Thanks for reading.

I'm not a bata tester but from what I've read rogue abilities and talent are really just broken up to 3 catagories ... combat openers, mid fight, and combat closers.

Subtley = openers
Combat = mid fight
Assassination = closers

Rogues are strong at the beginning and end but weak in the middle and it looks like that's by design. If you want to be a better toe to toe figher you have to give up potential strenght where your 'natural' talents take you. All in all it looks like a simple, well though out system and once they finish polishing it for retail I'm sure it's gonna rock.

More directly... I don't think Blizzards vison of a rogue is "melee master." That title belongs to warriors. We start and finish stong, everything inbetween belongs to other classes.
