Circuit city has a 160 GB western digital hard drive for $180 with $100 mail in rebate.
BUT! Many of the packaged 160 GB hard drives are actually 200 GB drives packaged in the 160 box. You have to look at the UPC while inside the store; if the UPC reads "WD1600JBRTL" then its a 200 GB model.
Also, Sam's Club has the same model for $119.99.
What you do is print out the sam's club price, and write down the phone number of your local sam's club. When you reach Circuit City and find a 200 GB model, have them price match it. Some stores won't, but most will (since it's a membership store). They will usually want to call the local sam's club to check the price.
In the end you'll wind up with a 200 GB hard drive for $119.99, with $100 in mail in rebates. A total of $19.99 before tax and after rebates.
Good luck! I got mine today at circuit city in Tacoma, WA.
Edit: You can see the $70 MIR here and the $30 MIR here. Edited by: Bondori Zafiro at: 12/22/03 6:18 pm
