iTunes with media keyboard

Alright I don't know if it's just me that has this problem, but if iTunes is in the foreground the media keys on my Natural Keyboard (next, play/pause, back, etc) work fine. If it is not in the foreground, and I hit next, it will skip two songs. Any ideas?

You need the Belkin iPod keyboard with built in dock, dedicated line out, and car adapter. >_<
