Constant Linkdead

A problem has currently arisen with me and my computer. At random points...around every 10-45minutes I randomly go linkdead...its not my modem considering my aim does not go down or anything, what can I do?

This problem happened to me as well. The problem had to do w/ my router. Dunno why but this problem seems to happen kinda often w/ Linksys routers.

Weird thing was, to test if it was my isp i ran CS and EQ at the same time, and it seemed only EQ would link death.

Of course, if u dont use a router at all, then i guess this information is useless... Peorth

I had the EXACT same problem. As soon as I find the link I will post it up for the fix. EQ now works perfectly and I can stay on as long as I want Its the linksys router that causes the problem.

Here we go...

Okay...first access the router by starting the internet browser and typing: 192.168.1.1/

Once in go to advanced (upper left corner tab in my set up)

click port triggering (at the bottom)

there are 5 fields in each row. I entered:

EQ

1024

7000

1024

7000

Click "apply" ( or save or whatever)

i dont have a port triggering option..

go to port forwarding, then look for a port triggering button.
