Improved Exposed Armor as a finishing move with 5 combo points theoretically exposes around 2500 AC . Is this something thats too good to pass up or are there buts ?
Secondly , Premed .. although at a high cost adds 2 cp's . With a Sub/Ass build you could open with Imp Cheap shot , Cold Blood and straight go to a 4/5 points Eviscerate . Is this something that's to be considered ?
Or is it better to cut off the tree earlier and invest some in Combat like Improved Gouge and Sinister Strike ?

Thanks for your comments ,

Personally, when I played with Expose Armor for a while, I found that there was -always- something more productive I could do with those 5 points. Elites & bosses got a Rupture, normal mobs got Eviscerates, and messy pulls got Slice & Dice.

As always with talents, any possible build will work - tweak your build to match your gameplay, and you'll be happier than if you force yourself to play according to your build.

For the specific question of Premed > CS > Evis...if you're unlocking Premed then you most likely have Initiative 5, Improved CS 2, and Hemorrhage, right? This means your Cheap Shot will be giving you 3 CPs to begin with 75% of the time (60 Energy left), Hemorrhage (4 CPs, 25 Energy left), and then Evis. Depending on energy refresh ticks, you could possibly put in 2 Hemorrhages there for a 5-point Evis. Looking at that, I wouldn't see Premed as useful in that situation. Myself, I see Premed more useful for Premed > Ambush > Evis, to do as much damage as possible in 1.5 seconds if something needs to be dead -now-.

I've found that against normal mobs, using Rupture or Eviscerate is a more useful way to spend the points.

Against much higher level mobs, dumping 3 points or so on an AC drop was extremely effective.

AC reduces all damage taken, so reducing armor on a hard mob will help everyone in the group deal more damage.

We've used this on the turtle and hydra boss mobs in Blackfathom, and it seems to help a lot. I don't use it much on other mobs though.

Bit confused here :

Expose Armor (Rank 5) Assassination 25 Energy Instant cast 5 yd range Requires Melee Weapon Finishing move that exposes the target for 30 sec, reducing armor per combo point:
1 point : 340 armor
2 points: 680 armor
3 points: 1020 armor
4 points: 1360 armor
5 points: 1700 armor

Expose Armor (Rank 5)
Requires: Expose Armor (Rank 4)
25 Energy
Instant cast
5 yard range
Requires melee weapon
Finishing move that exposes the target for 30 seconds, reducing armor per combo point:
1 Point : 85 Armor
2 points: 190 Armor
3 points: 255 Armor
4 points: 340 Armor
5 points: 425 Armor

did you fail to notice one of them says rank 4 while the other, with higher numbers says rank 5 ?

might be the reason. :heart

If you're in a long fight with a high AC mob, it can be useful, but the warrior variant (Sunder Armor) works a lot better and they almost always use it. Solo you will rarely be fighting anything long enough for the AC reduction difference to outdamage something like a 5 point Eviscerate. When fighting turtles, etc, I would sometimes blow my opener combo points on it.

If you got a paladin or shaman tanking for you, it is worth on it elite bosses. Putting talent points into something that situational simply isn't worth it outside special circumstances.

Premeditation, on the other hand, is very nice for some builds.
