Dealing with bags

Ok so I'm a noob. I had all my bag slots filled with 6 slot bags then someone sent me an 8 slot bag. I couldn't for the life of me work out how to get the 8 slot bag into where one of the 6 slot ones was. In the end I had to go to the bank and put one of the 6 slot ones in there. Can someone please tell me how do it?

Empty the 6 slot of all item, then click and drag it into your mainbad. Then drag the 8 slot into the now empty slot. Then take the 6slot and put it in your bank or dispose if not needed.

You should be able to drag the 8-slot onto a 6 slot that is full, and all the items will transfer to the 8 slot, if I remember right.

You can put the empty bag inside a bag and in case where all slots are filled you can simply put the bag in the occpied bag slot in which case all items in the old bag will transfer to new one.
