So, here's my dilemma.

I have a nice keyboard/monitor/mouse and a crappy keyboard/monitor/mouse with two PC's.

I would like to have my wife use one PC, and use the other myself. I would like to be able to switch between pc's and monitors, so that she can use the good KVM, but when I get home, I can move her over to the crappy KVM so I can use the good one.

So basically, I'm looking for a dual sort of switch with 2 PC inputs and 2 KVM outputs.

Anyone know of a switch that can handle this? (yes, I know the answer to this is to give her the nice stuff and buy new toys for myself, but I can't afford that right now).

Just grab any KVM switch off of E-Bay, pricewatch.com or the like. Hook up the mouse, keyboard, and monitor to the KVM box. THen you will need two sets of KVM cables. These are male/male and are mouse/keyboard/video. Hook these up from each comp to the KVM switch.

The electronic ones are the priciest but they emulate the mouse and keyboard so you can boot a machine without the switch being set for that machine....otherwise they are pretty much all the same

I'm not aware of anyone doing that at a reasonable price, Ciba. I've seen someone do it at work with multiple Avocent boxes, but those are $800+ each. Blusco Kickshaw-Stonefoot
