View Full Version : Lack of Stories

The Rant Hall has been lacking a good non-ranty story for quite some time now. I'm, frankly, dissapointed.

So I was kicking back playing Lumines when I hear a bunch of yelling and screaming outside my apartment. Not my problem, whatever. The yelling and screaming continues and the calumphing of people coming down the stairs in a non-standard manner and hitting my door yelling, so I said to myself, "Hmm, well, self, lets see what this is all about then." So I open the door and there's a mostly-naked Asian girl on the ground being wrestled by some Asian guy. So I decided this wasn't a good situation so I separated the two.

The situation was now slightly better, there was a fully clothed Asian man on the floor, and a mostly naked Asian girl clutching my leg. Both were yelling in a language I didn't understand, but I decided it really wasn't important what they were saying to eachother so I told them both to stop yelling. The mostly naked Asian girl then crawled into my apartment, and I calmed down the fully clothed Asian man who was now sitting on the steps. I try not to judge anyone, regardless of circumstances. How I managed, in this circumstance, to not judge either party I really don't know. Somehow I managed to pacify the whole situation of screaming lunatics without even raising my voice. I decided it was probably time to deal with the mostly naked Asian girl.

Under most circumstances, the correct way to deal with a mostly naked Asian girl is not, in fact, to put cloths on her. I decided, however, that this was one of those circumstances in which it was the correct thing to do. So I gave her a shirt and a box of tissues, then went out to finish talking to the fully clothed Asian man. While we were talking she went back upstairs to his apartment. I figured, ah well the situation must be solved. We got done talking, the short form of which was me saying (short form), "Nothing good will come of anything when you are both this inflamed, just don't worry about anything else tonight, and solve it in the morning." So he went back upstairs.

Apparently he was not a believer in what I had to say. So there was more ruckus no sooner than I shut the door. So I sighed (I'm still not sure why I was so calm about this, it's really strange looking back on the whole thing) and went upstairs. The good part about a nice ruckus is that you know where it's coming from. Especially if there is a trail of belongings coming out the door, so I went and separated them...again, and helped her get her stuff out of the apartment. It was strange, to say the least. A suitcase with a PDX tag on it which was (apparently) mostly still packed, her dog, and an envelope with a large amount of bills in it. There was no commotion from the fully clothed Asian man regarding the now fully clothed Asian girl having the envelope, so I figured it wasn't my problem. She was probably visiting, flew in recently to Portland, came down here by train, had a good amount of money for the trip. (I could just be full of ****, too.) So I leave the guy after telling him I didn't want to call any of their friends, it wasn't my business, I just wanted to make sure everyone was safe for the night and let other people deal with the rest. So I walk downstairs, and my shirt is on the floor in front of my partially opened door. So I go in my place and she's not there. I figure the last thing Eugene needs is a hysterical, potentially trashed Asian girl with a dog and a suitcase wandering around at midnight, so I grabbed my car and drove down the street. I figured that a hysterical Asian girl with a dog and a suitcase wouldn't make it far without someone noticing her, but I found her without asking anyone.

She was on the corner by Cafe Paradicio, on the ground, talking on a cell phone. She had no cell phone, so she must have borrowed one. There were some street guys next to her, and after listening to her conversation for a second it was obvious she was on the phone to 911. Cool, so I chatted with the street guys. They had lent her their cell phone, which was cool of them. I figured if the Police were coming, I may as well tell them my story so while I'm waiting I may as well have conversation. They were cool guys. I forgot the one guys name, but I told them what happened, and they agreed with me...it was a weird ****in night. They just wanted to get back to the woods and get some more mushrooms. I saw nothing wrong with that plan. They did ask that when the police showed up that I should talk to them. I said no worries, and they were much relieved. So then I hear, "Hey Pat," and it's Brian and Katie. Pretty wild, so I told them to chill and then the Cops showed up and I told them my story.

She said he was hitting him, she didn't even have any red marks let alone bruises, and I saw her when she was naked. He wasn't hitting her when I saw them either. Grappling, well yeah, but like I told the cop, this is the story from my viewpoint. There are at least 2 other ones. She claimed he was her boyfriend, he said he wasn't, and actually gave me her boyfriends phone number and name. This confused me greatly, but whatever. So after that I gave her the peace sign, she said thank you, and I walked back with Brian and Katie and told them about what a weird ****ing night it was.

I have the best life anyone could ever possibly hope for.

If I wasn't almost too lazy to even say this I'd tell some huge stories.

Well, at least you got to see a naked asian chick out of it. :thumb :smoke

Sounds like a hell of an event though.

I too have been feeling that we are sadly lacking in new "Thread fare"

Where are all the topics that keep the responses flying and the Mods actually having to do some work???

Come on guys...lets get some controversy going!

Someone post something to get someone else riled up :)

I think now that many people have dispersed from EQ and are now either on another game or done with MMORPGs all together, alot of the hate and anger have left the rant hall. All thats left is Real Life, and its spring time, and for some odd reason, theres never much hate during spring.

I have to think before I type now. And now I ask myself WWLD.

So therefore I cut back on my posting.

Sounds like it was domestic abuse. Hopefully the police will not let him get away with it and hopefully your story of the events does not facilitate them not pressing charges.

Come on, really, the girl is wrestled on the ground, has been screaming, yelling, and banging on your door, naked, and you think it's just a normal argument, tell the boyfriend no good will come of this if you're mad?

Clearly, the more violent, screaming lunatics in a situation the better.

The only ladies' room on this floor is "Out of Order" (there are 2 mens rooms...) and I've had 2 cups of coffee so far - there's a rant in the making if I can't make it upstairs in time... :evil

Here's the kicker - they put one of those 5 key security locks on the bathroom door... and didn't tell us the code. Bravo, idiots :applaud
