Ok, I'm totally going to try not and sound like a fanboi here, but I just did my third hallmark quest for a second alt, and OMG. I started a main, but becoming curious of other races/classes, and combinations, I started some alts to play around with, just for fun. My main is a paladin in his 30's now, and I HAD to start a rogue, who's going to be a brigand, because rogues are one of my favorite classes.

The rogue hallmark is cool, because instead of just go kill 10 X's, you actually get to do a rogue quest, sneak into the port authority and snatch the ledger books. In this quest, you CAN'T fight, you can't even be seen, or you'll fail. I snuck in, the guards were arguing about something and I slipped past, went into the room, and checked all the furniture. As I was doing this, I see a message saying, "Someone's coming". I dropped behind the desk and sit perfectly still. He walked right by without seeing me. This was the bomb quest for a rogue, loved it.

Then, I do a rat fighter, on a quest to be a brawler. The fighter trainer sent me to all the Barkeeps in Freeport to "make sure" they didn't serve some of the "undesirable locals". This was the funniest quest I've ever experienced. I was threatening, talking back, punching gnomes in the stomach :evil , it was so much fun I couldn't stop laughing. Then the trainer makes me fight some of his henchmen to test me. Pretty easy fights until the last one. Two at a time and they were my level, that was a fight right down to the last bubble of health. I was on the edge of my seat. As soon as I killed the last guy it finished the quest and ding, you gain a level. What a rush.

I played EQ for 3 years, and played WOW for a few months, but this is the most fun I've had playing a computer game EVER.

I thought those were pretty kick ass myself. :applaud

I REALLY need to get back in game, I miss it. I just don't have the time lately. :frown

Freeport quests are sometimes VERY funny. As an iksar just walking around can be funny as people make racial slurs. "The scales are tipped in my favor! haha haha"

Oh, don't even get me started on the atmosphere. I have a Half-Elf rogue and a Ratonga brawler. The "locals" react to each of these characters completely differently. If you do a quest, or a "favor" for someone, they remember you and comment about it if you walk by them again. Now that is what I call attention to detail. Really great stuff.

Even the stray cats and animals will react to your character. Cats always hiss at my ratonga, and other ratongas will always wave at me. They don't do that to my rogue.

EQ2 has amazing detail in NPC reactions. Just wait untill you start doing some heritage quests and earning some status, all the guards start saluting you.

But seriousely, Temple Street is awesome, the 4 quests from the Togglesmeets and their ratonga competitors had me roaring. Krysa and her makeup case, Chrna and the rumble rod/book of spells quest, it's all hilarious.

"Talk to me like that again and I'll kill you, rob you, then return to your grave to rob you again! Though I doubt you'd have anything worth taking!."

Ratonga rule.

Temple Street is great as a ratonga, but my gnome is chafing a bit at the choice between a rathole and a hobbithole. We couldn't have teamed up with the dwarves and carved out a proper town somewhere? :(
