I don't know how the rest of the community feels, but probably the single most annoying thing since PST is has been +1 replies to messages. Nothing but an attempt to raise up ones post count. Annoying? Yes. Damaging? No. But regardless if it is damaging or not, it is a waste. Useless. And just takes up extra post count space that the service has to end up paying for.
I have always been heartened by the fact that The Safehouse does not employ a post count which should in all ways remove the desire or necessity of posting a message that simply says "+1". Of course now we all get to be treated with the new and improved IBTL. Come on people, it makes you look childish. It's like running up to an automobile accident and trying to get your picture taken with the headless guy who flew thru his windshield. "HEy look fellas! I got my picture taken with a DEAD GUY! I R UBAH!! I RoXors! U SuXors. I am L337!! All your posts are belong to me!!"
God, it's annoying.

Because if we took the time to write "Look at me, I need attention", we wouldn't get in before the lock. Not to claim the status of a "real professional" in any one endeavor has been a small price to pay for the many benefits and pleasures of trespassing. ~Leo Lionni

Actually, saying IBTL on a thread that the mods don't think should be locked should be grounds for banning. "Classes are not that out of balance -AbsorEQ"

Dude, some of us do IBDL as a JOKE and not for attention.
FWIW I don't NEED a post count +1. After 3+ years of posting my count is already listed in scientific notation.
IBDL is shorthand for "Hey Mods check this loser of a base poster out!"
