Did you get any indication if being in stealth also meant having a movement speed reduction? If so, does the speed penalty reduce with level, ala EQ1?

Flash Powder sounds like our rogue tax. Hopefully, it won't be too expensive, and won't take up too many inventory slots. Also, I hope it will be available in many places.

With the lack of teleports, running halfway across a continent to stock up on an almost-required item would be a real pain.

1. Sorry, did not ask how Stealth affects run speed.

2. The majority of your rogue tools are stolen from the enemies you fight every where, more than they are bought.

As long as every non-Rogue mob I fight drops flash powder, I'm willing to suspend my disbelief that a non-Rogue mob would be carrying flash powder.

If every mob has a diamond for me to pickpocket, I'd be willing to suspend my belief that diamonds are rare, too! :-)

The Vanguard Rogue is sounding good. Scrolls allowing you some limited forms of magic to use should be pretty interesting. The fighting animations, high damage from stealth, utility to fulfill your class role all sound good too. Now I just want more info!!

This is how I read the part on flash powder. 1) If you have someone else holding the mob's (or group of mobs) agro and you use flash powder the mobs are distracted and you can enter stealth mode. 2) If you have agro and use flash powder nothing happens? Is that right?

It would be nice if in the case of #2 it would stun the mobs for a second or two to aid in your escape or something... If your the type that needs to run from a fight on occasion. Prolly getting ahead of myself and the game - will be cool to see how this all works out once release is finally here.

That is correct. Your way of thinking about it was actually how I first read it too...but the more I thought about it, being able to stun mobs with your flash powder would probably be very overpowered...otherwise Rogue's wouldn't need a meatshield to do anything stealth related.
