I have been brushing up on Vanguard the past few days and may move from EQ2 when it launches. I like what I have read so far. The screenshots look great. I will admit I am a little worried about having to upgrade my computer to play though. Hopefully I will not have to.
Trying to get a couple RL friends of mine interested as well. I have many friends who all play MMO's but we either don't play the same one or are to far apart to grp affectively on a daily basis.
I signed up for the forums the other day. I don't quite comprehend how getting into beta works, from what I have read on the site but, then again from what I have read it is suppose to be that way.

When you sign up for the forums you are automatically in a pool. The folks at Sigil then slowly send out emails to forum members inviting them to apply for beta. It's not a fast process though so it may be a while before you get an application invitation. Also, you need to make sure you confirmed your email address for the forums by clicking on the link they emailed to you after you registered. They only send the application invites to email addresses that have been confirmed.
Once you get your invitation to apply you go to the microsoft site and fill out the actual application. At that point it becomes a waiting game...I've been on the forums since 2004, had an application in since before Christmas and I'm still waiting. Just so you know, getting an application doesn't mean you get into beta, unfortunately.

Thanks for the info. Beta would be great but I know it will be tough to get in if ever. :( ( Maybe I'll get lucky and win account through the safehouse like I did for EQ2.) **hint** **hint** Aidden!! Any way I am dieing to see what the systems requirements are going to be. Hope I can afford an upgrade. Or even better not have to at all.

You definatley should have already gotten it. All forum members who were members before the applications were released should have gotten applications and had them confirmed. Or did you mean that you havent gotten in yet?
haven't gotten into beta yet :(
