Hmmm, I feel it's better be add to the (INT) rather adding a new pool for point sponge! (PER).
I looked into "Perception" in the dictionary and here is what I got :

From its effect or what it does for each class, I think it should be combined with intelligence instead of separating it, since basically it tells how smart and well knowledgeable you are.
