View Full Version : New Graphics Card Drivers
Over the last few days both nVidia and ATi have released new graphics card drivers. On the 23rd nVidia released ForceWare Release 90 series' version 91.31. This driver includes nVidia's new control panel.
Today ATi released their June driver, the Catalyst 6.6 driver. ATi's driver can be found at ATi.com (http://www.ati.com/), while nVidia's drivers can be found at nVidia.com (http://www.nvidia.com/page/home.html).

OK I have been having some video problems of late and low and behold I have neglected my video driver for quite some time. So long in fact that I am embarrassed to say. So I went to the NVIDIA site to get some new ones and I can't make heads or tails of the new system they have in place to identify what drivers you needed. It used to be that you just found your card through their three step search and bam you have the new driver to download. Well enough babbling about my noobish neglect. I have a PNY geforce 6800gt and I need to know if the this thread covers that card? If it doesn't can someone point me in the right direction please!

You want these for Windows XP/2000 32 bit: http://www.nvidia.com/object/winxp_2k_91.31.html
So far, I'm really not caring much for the 91.31 drivers. it's been a couple of weeks since I installed them and everytime I start my PC they warn me that my SLI is disabled....I don't have an SLI machine.
Also, the new control panel doesn't work for me, enabling it is a sure fire way to lock up my PC and end up pushing the reset button. This may be some sort of conflict with an older version of the drivers not getting completely cleared off though, dunno.
If the balloon message is really annoying, you can either get tweakui and turn off all balloon messages, or
get Nvidia's 91.33 beta drivers which fix it.
