BBC's Water Calculator. It gives a rough estimate of how much water you use.
I use less water than the average British household!

Just enough to drown an infant in.

Since I invested in an authentic fremen stillsuit, a thimbleful a day.
Actually, 153 liters a day. And like more than 75% is in the shower, haha.

Your results: 78 liters lol
The average person in Britain uses 155 Litres a day.
My monthly water bill is only $12.00, now I know why.
Who the hell has a washing machine in their kitchen? WTF?
But Mine's way lower than Average Brit per person. 76 per person. And that's probably an overestimate, cause it is counting the Baby's baths as full size adult baths.

Uhm.. me?
It's quite common in Germany (and I guess all of Europe) for appartements (which are way more common over here than in the US). If you only have 2-4 rooms in your flat, you usually only have water supply and sinks etc in the bathroom and the kitchen. And if your bathroom is too small to fit a washing machine, you have to put it into the kitchen.
Sometimes, there are cellar rooms for washing machines and dryers in appartement houses, but not always.

Hmm, 133 per person. However I live with a disabled person with a weak immune system, so we tend to take quite a few showers/wash our hands/ect.

So is the dryer in there as well? If so, wouldn't you get the dryer lint all over your kitchen? Gah... Thats enough to make me start doing some OCD cleaning action.
Unless its in another room, but thats kinda strange too. Who would want to carry their clothes down the hall from the washer to the dryer?
Wow, its like Bizzaro Land or something. Next thing you know, you will be telling me that you keep your refrigerator on the front porch, and the bed is in the garage. :)
Hard to say I just filled my new 29,000 gallon pool Im not looking forward to my next water bill :(

as I understand it, clotheslines are still more prevalently in use in Europe than in the US
Heh. The house we bought has a converted pantry in the kitchen that holds the washer dryer. I thought it odd too, but having all of the tedious chores in one place is actually quite practical. I can watch TV in the living room while washing/drying/folding without tromping up and down the stairs to the basement. The only thing I don't like about it is the noise. When we upgrade the washer/dryer we'll be spending a bit extra for those front loading water efficient silent units.

Uh....205 a person, about 75%+ is from showers. How do you people have such low usage, do you not bathe? wtf? o.O
15 minute shower once a day, with three to five extras which are also 15+ minutes = a lot of water usage but doesnt seem that extraordinary in terms of, you know, keeping one's self clean. o.o
There's the clincher. You take 15 minute showers. I take 5 minute showers. Was my pet peeve with my brother growing up. Me and my mom would take showers and be in and out in 5 minutes. My bro would sit there and marinate anywhere from 15 to 30 minutes, or until the hot water gave up on him. Then again, he does everything short of fixing his hair in the shower (brushes, shaves, ect...). Still, that amounts to one really expensive faucet.

Ah, yea, I'm the same way. Why brush your teeth, etc., in the sink when you can be so much more efficient and do it all in the shower. =P

came out to the avg of 155, but it's only that high because my upstairs tenants (cousin, his wife and stepdaughter) take baths instead of showers
~96/person ~382/day (2 adults, 2 kids)
Figured it would be much higher as it seems my dishwasher and laundry are constantly on.
I'm right there with you Loreleli. I think I'm about $10/month myself.

Tell him to stop bringing his "magazines" into the bathroom with him.

I drink Kaladim Constitutionals.
The trick to saving water brushing teeth and taking showers is to turn the water off in the middle. (Well, with brushing you don't need water at the start either.) If you have to take cold showers you'll learn it real quick.

I don't get grossed out easily, but I just grossed myself out with a mental image of that process.

It's no lie though. It's seriously the best place to do it. Aside from inside a woman that is.

Your Household uses 714 litres a day in total 143 buckets
each person 102 a day for 7 people and each person in brit use 155 a day or close to it.
My water is mostly used on the damned toilet
*ffs talk about trying to keep it sanitary =P*
Now are my figures good or are they not... even though the family doesnt pay for a bill yet due to on a military base
