Some of them aren't bad.

One thing they get right is the sky. It's always gorgeous. I love the nighttime sky shots.
Yup, the one thing that's stood out for me from the start with Vanguard's screens is that they seem to have put as much thought into the skyscape as they have into the landscape.
I love the contrast of the thick black smoke against the blue sky in this shot (http://www.vanguardsoh.com/Player_Submitted_Images/august/ScreenShot_00015.jpg).

Wow that does look nice. I didn't notice how good the smoke against the sky looked because I was too busy staring at the play-doh rocks :-/
My god it looks amazing no matter what angle you choose... I am soo getting this. Damn shame I was uninformed/too lazy to set myself up for beta.. *sigh*

My problem is, "Do I want to sell my kidney on the black market to afford the upgrades that Vanguard is going to make my computer need".
