Am I the only one watching this?
It's so strangely addicting. It's kind of like Hikaru no Go, but with a evil twist to it. It's about Mahjong, and Akagi is truly evil, cheating bastard. And yet, you kind of root for him? It's weird.
I'm up to episode 13 now.
Have also been following this. Even learned Mah Jong. Registered on yahoo jp to play with people on MP. haha
I couldn't bother to learn Mahjong. I can barely play checkers! Haha. It does look like a cool game to play though! They keep hyping up some sort of "death match" that he's going to have one year later or something. So I'm kind of curioius about what's going to happen. I'm going to be free for 9 days 16 hours a day starting Friday as a favor to my parents, babysitting my little sister. So I decieded to keep the rest of it in stock to watch later.
How far in are you? Does the arc after ep 13 end with what's currently released, 18? Or does it go further still? Would be nice to see the whole arc at once.
Currently during Deathmatch phase thing. ep18

So, yeah... after returning from Ohayo-con... Akagi is on my list of anime to watch, right after I finish up with Kaiji...
From what I understand, if you liked Akagi, go download Kaiji now, as it's similar, more just about gambling and death matches and such... serious mind-**** of a series. First 8 or so episodes are rock paper scissors for gods' sake... WTF, it's a show that starts off being about rock paper scissors, and my mind was blown, and I got totally addicted...
Yeah... things I never thought I'd watch and be enthralled by...
Yeah, I watched Kaiji. I liked Akagi better though. If you like Akagi and Kaiji, watch One Outs. It's a similar theme.

I figured you had, partly because I imagine that it would be easier to list the anime you HAVEN'T seen than the ones you have... but I digress.

My time is passing me by! There may be a lot of older stuff I've seen, but I've only kept up with 1-2 series each season for the last year. So there's a lot I havent' seen recently.
