I say take it off. I used to have one like that in high school. I thought it was cool at the time, but now, with time and wisdom, I look back and think..."no." You look like your facial hair mimics mine in its chin growth pattern...that is, no chance of connectivity between the bottom lip and the start of chin hair, and the front of the chin is bald. In both of those cases, half-assed is no way to go.

That said, it's your call. If you like it, see about getting your pimp on with it. If it works, keep it. If not, off with its (not your) head.

Large amounts of facial hair look like crap on youngish guys. I used to have a beard and ponytail combo, and I looked absolutely horrible.

Well my beard came about more by the fact that I decided workfolk were being a bunch of unnecasarry pricks and I was no longer going to, as the dress code stated, "Keep a clean shaved face, or short, and neat facial hair. With a proffesional hairstyle." Well that's summarized. So I let them both grow wild.

In my defense that pic was right out of the shower, so my hair was freshly towel dried and still looking that way. But I pretty much don't ever comb it, cept to get the knots out, cause a combination of wavy and curly hair means no comb will ever do anything, unless you use about a bottle and a half of product, and that's just not worth my time.

I say no, because, while I do like facial hair on a man, I don't like beards without mustaches. Mustaches without beards, no problem.

Maybe it's some kind of childhood trauma where I was accosted by an Amish man, or an Abe Lincoln look-alike, or Maynard G. Krebs (how's that for pre-Shaggy, daddy-o?), but I find the stash-less look to be ugly.

I actually shaved the stache a couple days ago, got tired of it getting in my mouth and I didn't want to just trim it.
