Right here! (http://van-halen.com/pressrelease.html)
If anyone needs me for the next few months, I'll be refreshing Ticketmaster over and over.

As an aside, it won't stop me from seeing them as many times as I can but what the heck is up with giving Michael Anthony the boot so Wolfgang can play? That's crap! At least he still plays with Sammy Hagar sometimes.
I thought we were going to be talking about something more like this (http://www.aintitcool.com/).
I'd just like to say, that I've been expecting this post for 5 days. As soon as I heard, I thought to myself "I wonder if Glips head has exploded in excitement?"
edit: From what I've read it wasn't getting the boot so much as Michael Anthony prefering partying with Sam to growing old with Ed. But that's just the usual hearsay, so who knows.

I heard they made him sign a reduced royalty contract to participate in the 2004 reunion tour (aka, the most super ultimate news ever, part I) with Sammy.
Either way, the Bears are playing in the Super Bowl tomorrow and Van Halen is touring this summer. Everything is finally right in the world again.
So we're right on schedule for this to be the end of the world.
1. Vanguard finally released. (Check)
2. Van Halen on tour with Diamond Dave. (Check)
3. Bears win Superbowl.
4. Armagedon.

This is strangly odd. We have a community calendar at work where everone posts their projects. Feb 24th has been marked as "The end of the world"
so far no one has posted any projects after that.

I can't begin to describe how not up to the hype this thread lives.

lol
So we can just cancel the rest of 2007?

Armageddon averted, at least for this year. =P
Anyone want to start a pool on how many shows they get into the 40 show tour before it all implodes?

As long as they make it to San Diego it doesn't matter. The Freaking Sammy/Dave tour ended here so of course it got scrapped before they got here. Blargh

Crap!

Oh, The Horror!
Heard on the news this morning that, rumor has it, the tour has been postponed indefinitely. Apparently, DLR and the VH's are no longer getting along too well.
So much for getting my hopes up.
Here's a link (http://www.mtv.com/news/articles/1552872/20070220/van_halen.jhtml) to the MTV.com story.

s'ok, I didn't want to pay the heating bills if Hell froze over anyway...
There's too many damaged relationships, bruised egos, and hurt feelings all around, I think, for Dave, Eddie, Alex, and Mike (or even Sammy, whom I never really liked anyway) ever to be able to perform together again.
And then you have Gary "but I was in Van Halen too!" who is not getting any love here at all.

I was going to post this when I first saw this thread but I bit my tongue b/c of the pure joy Glip had in posting it.........ARE YOU KIDDING? You know it'll never happen. They'll never be on stage again together (willingly) because they're all a bunch of headcases. They're all insane.
Oh, and I prefered Sammy Hagar...at least he wasn't a complete douche, and he sounded enough like DD to pull off the old stuff. So he can't do a roundhouse kick...so what? ;-)
Wow, between the Super Bowl and now this, 2007 isn't turning out to be a good year for you is it Glip??
