yeah the newb area isn't very newbish anymore. Started a cleric and got severely waxed =).

Oh and the new badboy in the second level of the sewers- very good job It's a difficult fight with his lil pet and the loot seems on par with it. I think I burned 10+ potions on it. An idea I had was- why not have that guy drop the sewer key? That would be nifty and would make sense too.

Nimm I played a hardcore old-school badass rogue for 3and a half years and all I got was this lousy sigEdited by: Nimmbull at: 7/31/02 10:23:23 pm

Not consistantly. He was registering hits, but no damage was showing up. He landed a couple crit hits, but he was having some trouble fighting them as well.

FYI Llabak's little buddy is my pet panther. He's level 3 or 4 I think.

I can hit them when I have some buffs on. But I'm not sure which buff lets me hit em. Might be barkskin potions though ... hmm Gereint the retired CanadRoguish FencerDrunken Bandits

whichever buffs your STR probably...i think it has to do with their damage absorption, though.

kind of like how you can get a weapon ineffective message on doors until you get a crit hit, then you do damage.

perhaps whoever made the wererats forgot to remove the wererat skin from them and it includes some kind of damage reduction/absorption properties

Wererats gone....

Technically, no.

All you need to do is add a cheap source of silver weapons. They don't hit any better, so no game imbalance, but they hit wererats.

Or just make a custom hide, with all wererat hide attributes sans the one that requires magic weapons. "Age and wisdom don't always go together, I've found. ... Some people just become stupid with more authority." -- Terry Pratchett

That would be cool.

Make them into ratmen instead of wererats.

Just use the wererat model. That would be a cool replacement to the orcs.

Aughhhhh! Theres Chetari in the sewers! Augh!

Ah my familiar is able to kill the wererats, somehow.

Ryana

Perhaps because the familiar is magical in nature? I do not know, I am making this up as I go.

actually if you want Aidden you can adjust the hide ont he wererats so they no longer require magical weapons to hit.

If you still want them in that is.
