This has to be the best dang hack for NWN out, I have no idea why Bioware didn't include 1st person view with the game. Now I feel like I'm in a real world.

Remember to save your original file, and replace the hack with the original prior to patching...

And if you patch it will no longer function until he releases an update for it..

I agree. this should have been in the game..

Bioware was probably holding back on this view until their first expansion pack.

First person view in the expansion pack would make it a 'must have' expansion.

Version D Camera Angle hack is the name, it now includes support for versions other then 1.21. if you havent downloaded it, I recommend you do. In my opinion this hack saves the game. NWN was good , but with this hack it's great!

Just used it, and it definitely looks cool. But in the Driver mode every time I run my dude's pixels keep getting into the view. Is there something easy I'm missing to eliminate that?

I'm so sad I didn't get this before I finished the single player module. I'm also so very very happy someone made this! Ye flaming deities how I hate pausing a fight because the 3rd person camera went bananas and I can't see who to target. Thank you for that link, it makes a lot of difference to me.

Oh and p0rn plz. It's no fair putting titles like that if you're not gonna provide porn with it! Or at least a racy amazing X-cam picture of Aribeth jiggling into her armor.

If you like to play in Driver mode with this Patch, use this trick:

Hit the Tilde Key (~) and type DebugMode 1, then type SetAppearance 298, this will hide your body model except the weapons, if you want your body back type, SetAppearance 0-6 (depending on your race model type)

This really is the closest you can get to 1st person view until Bioware chooses to put officially in the game(Dont old your breath).

just in case people don't know, you can use pageup/pagedown to move the camera angle. Using the hack, I bring it up enough that I can see over their shoulder, at least. Andrewe the Imp -Lvl 57 Enchanter, Bristlebane [Cry of War]

I recopied my backup of NwnMain to the NWN directory, patched to 1.22, made a backup copy of the new NWNMain, then reran the Hack. Worked for me.

They didn't put this in the game because they haven't coded sky. There was a question about this before the game was released about being able to see the horizon and the answer was that because they hadn't coded a sky there would not be a full first person-esque view.

YAY! somneone answered my question before I asked it. dropping in close enough to simulate first person was making it so I couldn't click on anything BUT my character. now I can get rid of the model hehe
