Now that there are at least five level 20s on the server, how about arranging a bit 'o the game? The world is large yet not so big that hide and sneak isn't possible, so I had an idea to make it interesting.
The game is like the 80s movie Gotcha (or if you prefer, Highlander). Someone not playing will randomly assign you a target to assasinate, another level 20. The target will not know you are going to kill them, though they may be distrustful of other level 20s. Then when you see they are on, you can hunt them down, or you can act like they aren't your target and group, and then lay the smack down!
Some rules:
-You need to say something to identify that you are attacking your target because it's the part of the game. I suggest either saying at the start of your attack, "Gotcha!" or "There can be only one!"
-If you are killed by your target or monsters during an assasination attempt, you are out of the game.
-If you kill your target, take a screen shot (print screen key), send it to the coordinator, and receive another target.
-As with EQ P v P, you should not grief your target (i.e., attack while they are fighting 7 giants), but attacking at inopportune moments is fair (target is resting after killing seven giants). Basically, don't attack until the other character is done with combat. If your target is killed by monsters that spawn and you live, then you advance.
-Otherwise, anything is fair game. Traps, spells, summons, trickery.
-Your target can choose to surrender if it is hopeless and needs to state this in the screenshot and you can choose to accept it if you want.
-If you pickpocket or disarm and take the weapon of your target or assasin, you should give it back afterwards.
-In the sporting spirit, you should resurrect or raise your target if you have the means, since they might lose a lot of cash, but this doesn't apply if you killed your assasin.
-IMPORTANT: When in battle with your target/assasin, play the no healing potion rule--if your opponent doesn't use healing potions, then you don't, if he does, then you can. Healing potions are cheap in duels and will only make the fight much longer than it has to be.
-Whomever is the last one left, wins!
If you want to participate in this, post your name and email, and tell others you see about it. You should try to log in fairly frequently so that the game doesn't get stuck because no one can find you. And let me know if you have any suggestions. We could have players of lower level join if they want, and we will need someone who will randomly assign who the targets are. Hopefully Aidden will help with this, by forwarding these rules in case there are some level 20s (Elerion?) who don't really log on anymore.
And keep in mind that your target could also be your assasin.
