I've heard there needs to be 2 other trigger mobs up, as well as MM to be able to spawn and fight him. Anyone confirm this? Any other info would be greatly appreciated, thanks.

i'm pretty sure you just need to kill the frog (ralthazor champion of mm or something like that).
We've always killed the frog when the fake mm thing is up (its 7 day spawn), but i'm almost positive that mm is 3 day spawn & pops whenever the frog dies.

MM spawns when the frog Dies wether Untargetable MM is up or Not.....the Frog is a 3 day spawn hence MM is too

What about the adds in his room? Is it possible to fight only MM himself, or is it constant add control kind of like Agnarr? I haven't been able to find anything about the adds..

Well, you could take advantage of the fact that all the dog/cat things in MMs room are Harmonizable. Bring a Bard or two.

ive heard of MM being killed with no projection spawning afterwards if the frog wasnt killed first. i dunno if the PP got stuck in the wall, just a bug, or if there is some time limit to kill him after the frog is dead.
you need some pretty serious dps to kill MM before repop hits, be prepared to deal with 2 kitties during the fight or keep them harmonied(they do agro if harmony fails, so need backup)

Just time the respawns in the room, approx 17ish minutes. With a raid force of ~ 50-55 with zero pets, you can clear the room and have approximately 6 minutes to engage and kill LMM before 2 respawns in any of the corners you choose to fight in. We had 2 pets gate on us on a fight once .. no clue why or how, but we ended up killing LMM while an enc kited about 15 wrulons ROFL. Unfortunately he wanted to take a screen shot of it, lagged, died, adds killed everyone. No big loss since 2 druid swords dropped and rotted anyway heh.

How is it possible to even attack MM if you haven't killed the frog first? MM is untargetable (or not spawned) until you kill the frog. I call shenanigans on this post.

what he means is this:
you go in to kill mm & find him already popped because someone killed the frog & wiped to mm & left. You come in say 2 days later & no frog is up, but mm is up. You kill mm & no pp pops - i've heard of this happening a buncha times, but it was a long time ago, before they made changes to where/how pps pop.

I had thought MM needed to be up and untargetable and then you kill frog to target him....that's my experience, never bothered to go if MM wasn't up. He can be done solo. We always got a PP. He was a 7 day spawn last I heard.

Seriously though, you can spawn Mith Marr by killing the frog. The Untargetable does not have to be up.

I just scouted MM's room, and only saw 6 dogs before the stairs, 2 dogs at the top of the stairs and 2 dogs right next to MM. The frog was not up.
Are those all the adds to deal with for the encounter? Or does he spawn more adds depending on his HP like Saryrn?

He don't spawn more adds during the encounter, the respawn in his room is quite short though.

6 dogs in main part of room, we set up on one side and fully debuff the 2 nearest dogs. Then keep them mezzed for the duration of the fight.
Worked every time for us.

Kill the two in the left front corner, wait 4 minutes, kill the rest. Kill the two respawns then immeditely pull Mith Marr. Gives you 15min or so to kill him and you don't have to worry about dealing with adds.

Can anyone confirm if this still works.
By this I mean killing the frog while the untargetable MM is not up will automatically spawn him.
We've been farming the hell out of him past couple weeks (*shows off his new dagger*), the frog is still all that matters. Untargettable one is just for show, it doesn't even stand in the same place as the real Mith Marr.
But then, they just fixed the Saryrn and Mareeq scripts after those encounters had been hosed for who knows how long...

The fixed Mareeq is freaky. Surprised us, but at least the script makes sense now.
Didn't notice any difference with Saryrn, though, same old gimp fight.

Saryn used to be able to be up without Sorrowsong for the first 80% of the fight, then when sorrowsong is supposed to spawn, he spawns as normal. It's nice to be able to do the first part of that encounter without the silence hehe

He turns into a crab thingy shortly into the fight, and gets bigger every time one of the little spawns hits him. Those are immune to mez and stun now, too, we ended up just burning him down through the heals.
Sorrowsong was back and silencing that same night.

Personally, I think that's the only remotely interesting part of the entire Saryrn fight. When it started getting bugged, it made a 99% lame encounter, 100% lame.

So all the nukers basically had him locked in a corner facing out. I had one finger on evade and one on escape the whole later part of the fight.

If frog and fake is up, kill frog fake becomes real. <--- normal.
If frog down and fake up, your screwed. <--- illegal combination?
If frog up and no fake, kill frog real will pop. <--- common.
If frog down and real is up, kill real. <--- someone wiped to MM in last 3 days, frog has not respawned yet.

Kill him up in his area on the right side. Only mobs that are even capable of adding are the 2 that spawn next to him. Nothing else will aggro there.

If you kill him in the back you'll have to clear the whole room to get back to the projection now, they put it right in the middle of the front section, in aggro range of all six wrulons.

What's the new Maareq do exactly? Same as before but you can't AE the adds? I don't remember what the adds do to him, heal him? Make him stronger? We always just killed them all with AE, but this sounds like it's been changed.

I remember fighting Mareeq ages ago and he turned into that ugly thing, it wasn't a hard fight but it was definitly fun
Then for no apparent reason he prefered to keep his human form.
And he used to ingest the adds as they touched him, healing him in the process. I assume this is what still happens.

Exactly Gukmonster.
As you fight him his minions appear.. Unstunnable, Unmezzable. And they are aggro on the raid.
Once he turns into a crab, he gradually "absorbs" his minions thus healing him and making him bigger.
By the time you kill him the minions are gone.

Mareeq has always been harder than Saryrn. Not that either are particularly difficult really, but Saryrn is a joke. Clearing up the tower has always been dinner, and Saryrn the dessert.

Last time we did Mareeq, the adds were not only untouched by stuns, they were also untouched by AE nukes. If we'd known that before going in, we would have just burned him down instead of worrying about them. First time I've ever seen him as a crab thingy...
Was also the second time in about ten kills that I've actually seen Sorrowsong up and flying around before the targetable version spawns at 25%. I think it makes the fight more interesting, personally.

I don't think the frog is the only thing thats needed for MM. It appears there are 2 other mobs + frog needed. People have been going into do MM when only the frog was up killing it and MM was not becoming targetable. I seems that somehow the 3 that were supposed to all be up to trigger him have been spawning out of sequence.

To spawn MM, you need to off the 3 named in his room - a guy, a gal and a frog. The 2 human paladins are hard hitters but not terrible - the frog has a snare, which can complicate the pullers job a bit.
If no MM or a non-targetable one is up, when you kill the frog (usually the last named pulled, because of positioning) the targetable version spawns.
All the Wrulons in the room except the 2 on the back wall with him are 15 min spawns - the ones back by him are 10 min spawns. They all have HUGE aggro radius' - basically the right and left side cats can aggro almost from the entry hall into the room - all are see invis too (but SoS works). If you wanna see an EPIC train, get one of the named outside of MM's room and into the hall - they can aggro thru the wall to the "safe spot" in the back of the fountain room...
Secret to the fight is splitting up the wrulons and wiping them out fast to give you a window for a solo MM pull. Get someone to start a timer and track mobs kills/respawn - makes a huge difference.
Oh, and just fyi - if you never kill any non-trial mobs in HoHA, you are non-kos to EVERYTHING in HoHB. Very useful for drags, as well as assisting and scouting for the pullers.
Got some great screenshots of me with MM and Co. - right before my guild dirtnaps them...

To again reiterated. If the frog is up and MM isn't or not targetable, kill the frog and it will spawn MM. That simple, nothing else needs to be done. Yes, once MM is spawned, he's the real deal with loots.

Another not-so-secret is to ask your bards/chanters/rangers if the cats in MMs room are immune Harmonize. Answer: they are not. After Harmonize you can walze around the room with impunity. That makes dealing with them six cats much more easy
Allthough keeping all 6 Harmonized for a long time is though work (crit fails = munch, unless you can memwipe it) but depending on placement of MM you only need to have some of em Lulled a short while (ie when raidforce is moving in and during MM pull).
