Bastion - Pyrocat - Cyborg Imperial Agent

enjoying it immensely so far! I'm mostly playing it as a single player KOTOR game.

I've got three characters on the Master Zhar Lestin server (Nalale the Mirilian Sage, Kiva'lakhar the Twi'lek Sentinel, and Ruccus the Sith Juggernaut).

I think my Sage and Sentinel are 17 and 16 respectively, but I've started leveling up my Juggernaut (level 13 atm, if I remember correctly).

Ok so what do people think about the game? worth getting/playing?

Think it would get my Star Wars Fanboi husband to actually try a MMORPG?

Can you solo since IF he played I can't imagin him grouping up much

You can solo. The flashpoints (dungeons) would be hard to do on level solo at start and impossible at later points. Raids would also not be doable solo. Heroic quests (group quests) are usually doable solo a few lvls later when they're green. These things do have stories to them, but honestly past the first flashpoint the flashpoints stories seem to be mostly "Here's bad guys, go kill!" with a few light/dark side point conversation choices in between. With you + him + your companions you could do the flashpoints with just the two of you - although you might not want to do the later ones until they're green as companions aren't quite as good as a good player and boss encounters get trickier and have more special abilities to be mindful of later in.

If he's not a massive completionist as far as getting the flashpoint and raid stories he can absolutely play the game as he would solo. Heck, most of my guild is doing that, I'm doing that with the exception of the heroic quests and flashpoints. If you do get it for him and if he dislikes the um, level of maturity you often find in MMOs... you may want to make a custom chat tab or alter his general tab to omit chat channels such as general. I play with just say, whisper, guild and party showing for chat and find it helps me treat the game as a bit more single player experience and a bit less typical MMO conversation sewage. Any time I can I play the game as though it were a KotOR game that just happened to have some other people in it as well.

As for worth playing, I'm in it for at least as long as it takes to experience every class' questline. I freely admit I'm frustrated at times with the game, bonus objectives are at time less bonus and more mandatory if you don't want to fall behind on xp and they are a bit grindy at times. You will come to hate rakghouls with a passion if you go to Taris. It's by no means bug free either. I'm also not sure how well end game content is done or if the game will have much appeal after the class storylines are done with. But I'm finding the class storylines very enjoyable.

How long we giving it before this one becomes a graveyard like all the other game sub-forums did?

Ja'len - Twi'lek Scoundrel, Vrook Lamar

I have a Sith on Master Z, but like the Republic side way more. Way less dewd-speak and people don't call everything "gay" all the time.

I got bored and bought it (kind of regretting already, but that's normal for MMOs and me) and I've rolled on PVP and RP servers.. and they've got some of the worst communities I've ever seen. It's been a terrible combination of the worst of the WoW kids, added with the completely clueless SW fans that have never played an MMO before (I'm looking at you ******* Marauder that kept rolling need on my Agent gear), and then just everyone else trying to troll between those two crowds.

I'm not sure if others have had better experiences, but I can safely say The Bastion is hell on earth.

Yeah I would agree. To the limited extent that I've grouped, I've found that once grouped people tend to be less obnoxious.

Have a 29 sith assassin and a 22 power-tech BH, on Tarro Blood.

Server seems pretty good there are some wait time ques. The population is usually helpful, I've run into an occasional douche bag in chat but thats about it, you can usually pick them out by there name i.e. Terdberger, Bubbaurfett. etc

Going to play for first time today.

Playing on the US "Warriors of the Shadow" server, since that's where a RL friend is playing.
