*Jais orders himself a Blackburrow Stout* "So ye wanna hear a story eh?" "Well lemme try ta rember one" *Takes a swig of his stout and some drips down his sleek black beard* "Ahhh I got ye a fine story fer ye." "ok it was the winter of 3179 back then I worked and a smuggler/pirate on the Cutlass one of the few boats on the Ocean of Tears during the winter months." "The day started calm just like ever other day." "We was headin to tha Dragon Horns our usual ambush spot when the dark blue clowds came a' rollin in and the wind started to pick up" "The captain told me to get me arse up to the crows nest." *takes a drink of his stout and belches* "I was about ohh 3 or 4 feet from the nest and a gale force wind came from the east." "I tried to keep me grip but I lost it and me feet got hung in the ropes up tward the nest" "and I look over just in time ta see a 20 foot wave slam inta the side of the Cutlass sendin one of tha guys on the deck inta the cold dark water" "I reach down ta me belt and grab one o' me blades and start to cut away at tha ropes a' holdin me feet" "Thats when the wind really picked up and tha waters got choppy and the Cutlass was just a' rockin" "When I look down I see me friend Kint commin' up ta me" "Hes one o' them lil gnome folk but he was damn fine with a blade" "He got me losse but a' damn wave knocked inta the said of the Cutlass and it sent me 30 feet down to the deck" "I hit hard everything started spinin and i started slideing i came to just as i was about to fall inta the cold water" *Emptys the mug of stout and peers into the mug* "damn!" "but umm i grabed onto the rail on the side of the boat and pulled me self up onto the deck just intime to met another wave that sent me sprawling accross the deck" "half the crew are in the water it was just me Kint and the captain on the deck when Kint shouts look at points to the port side" "I look over and here comes the biggist damn swell I ever saw" "Me and Kint run to one of the mast and grab a' hold of it waitin fer the swell ta tip us over" "We waited fer what felt like forever" "Then it hits us like a troll kick to tha face" "It tiped us right over and up again, me and Kint looked at each other in dissbeleif (cant spell) " We look fer the captain but he aint down below and he aint on the deck so we fear the worse""We diddnt have time mourn cause right then another big swell sent up right onto tha Dragon Horns" "The finest ship on the Ocean of Tears was shattered an the Dragon Horns" "Then I awake with Kint knocked out 20 feet to me left half in the water half out" " I pulled him onto the level part of the Horns and went lookin fer anyone who survived but after 20 mins i gave up and went back to Kint" "He was up and shakein his head when i found em" I told em what happened and we talked and waiting for a boat to come by the Dragon Horns for maybe 4 hours when a Dwarven merchant ship came out of the gloom to the north" "we sliped into the water and waiting fer it to pass us and we hoped on the back of the boat and road to Freeport" "I aint seen Kint since we parted in Freeport I reckon he went back to Ak'anon" THE END I hope ya liked it I had fun writeing it even tho i cant spell =) Jais Rassiter lvl 24 rogue of Rodcet Nife,proud memeber of Thy Brethren.Apprentice of Glip the Gnome (Im sorta retired)
