Does anyone know why there are these silly walls blocking half the map and one place that looks like adungeon entrance?

This game seems crowded as it is and i could sure use more areas to hunt.

Are you talking about the cliffs? Did you pay attention to what's going on around the cliffs?

I did. Theres a geyser of course, but i didn't find any secret or anything?
