As soon as I hit lvl 22 I ran to the nearest rogues guild and trained. I ran around hitting that ID button a bunch. I walked up to all kinds of monsters, even large rats. I thought, this stupid button. I think it is broken.
I then decided to head to Lower Guk with another rogue friend of lvl 22 to get our masks. I bring my newbie dagger and he brings a FS long sword. We are very bored waiting for the room to be camped so we duel. He wins out barely with a much superior weapon. Then we decide to heal up and hit eachother with our fists. After about 5 minutes of this, he starts to run down the hall. I am trying to figure out where he was going. I thought he might have gotten a tell about the mask. About 30 seconds later he comes running back with 2 ghoul frogs chasing him.
After we zone I yell at him for almost getting us killed. He said it was my fault. I didn't understand. There was a high level ranger laughing at us as he saw the whole thing.
Then he says, "Where did you learn how to kick?"
I just wanted to share my story with you all. I thought it very amusing becuase everyone lived and I had never seen ID work or improve in skill since I put one point in it to train.
