Dren was born in June, and his parents, like many others, abandoned him as a small babe in the center of Rivervale. He was tested at each guild and astonishingly, was found with the talent for magic. The druids and clerics had a short battle over who was to get him as a pupil. After a week of this, they decided he would be skilled in both arts untill he was old enough to decide for himself. at the age of 5 ( Not level 5 but as if when he was a toddler) he was trouble on two feet. He would steal the crops and give them to Nillipuss, who had many meetings with the babe. And he would his power into making the chalk his cleric teacher was usning dissapear slowly. Pieriodicly he would run off going to play with friends at the fools gold... When the time came to choose between guilds, the two masters stood before him one on the left, and one on the right. They told him to pick his career and demonstrate a skill he had learned. He considered them went up and hugged the druid. The druids beamed untill he went up and hugged the cleric guild master as well. Then the 10 year old boy walked off and entered the fools gold. It was after a minute both guild masters noticed that their purses were gone. Since then, Dren has been fighting as a rogue ever since, sometimes using a bit of magic to heal himself during battle. well done dren!!

/salute

like to have more detail, though you've made an excellent start, and you're brief (something I always have problems with). I was really struck by the image of this halfling lad hugging his tutors (cutting their purses) and disappearing into the Fool's Gold. I think Mac would have been watching the whole choosing ceremony with a twinkle in his eye ...

I would like to add a new twist to my story... Once upon a time, a baby was born to the clan Drauka, of Neriak. Clan Drauka was a guild of the most powerful in Neriak. The Assasins of the clan could dispose of a dragon with a simple movement. The casters of the clan, or the casters of Drauka, as they were called, had power to rival that of Innoruuk himself. It was a close sect of any dark one who could pass the test of Drauka. They were the most feared of any group through Noratth. Even in kedge keep, where horrible monsters are the inhabitants, the name was whispered. In Cabilis, it was spoken of with reverence. An Iksar had once joined clan Drauka and recieved full training. He fled to Cabilis, and had power over all. He killed guild masters with a simple thought. This rulership lasted about an hour, untill the avengers of Clan Drauka ( Assasins specialy trained to track down traitors ) came to kill the deserter. The masters of Clan Drauka were Dren and Kinley Drauka. They had a young son, born only a day ago, when our story starts. The clan had only one advasary of power enough to rival it. He was an enchanter, who had once defeaten Innoruuk, but spared the dark god when he was on his knees and dieing. That was a mistake. Innoruuk absorbed him, making the dark lord infinetly powerful. Unfortuneatly for Innoruuk, the caster took over once again and controlled the dark lord's power within his own body. He absorbed every being in the plains. When he returned to Neriak, he was the most powerful and deadly Dark elf ever born. One day he held an assault on Clan Drauka's stronghold, simply because he was bored. The gaurds, who could slay dragons, and could stand toe-to-toe with the Dark Lord himself were tortured to death, never giving the enchanter the slightest problem. The entire top half of the castle, which contained the thrown room was blown off, with a single blast of power. The Family Drauka however, did notperish because at the moment they had been dining at the middle level of the house. The enchanter systimaticly killed every member of the staff, untill only the family. Dren fought the intruder and got many stabs into his gut, impaling him countless times. However, in the end, Dren was destroyed by a curse, which blew off the upper half of his body. Kinley cast a spell which caused the upper right half of his head to rot away. He turned on her in a rage and caused magical bonds to spring from his fingertips, untill she was bound and levitating in the air. He cast another spell, and she rotted away feet first. However before she died, she was forced to watch as the evil enchanter did an unimaginal thing to her screaming baby ( he had just had his name etched into his arm magically. It read: Dren Drauka. And then in Tier Dal: inheriter of the house of Drauka.) He turned the babe into a halfling. That was the last image Kinly saw before her heart rotted. The Enchanter brought the babe to kithicor wood, where he left him, at sunset, the time in which the most fierce undead come out. Contrary to the enchanters thoughts, a wandering druid, by the name of Bejer Wolfson picked and brought him into Rivervale, which is where the story begins... Dren, Level 14 Halfling rogueInny serverSoon to be guild master of " the denizens of death"The greatest truth in the world of norrath is that it is kill or be killed. Thats where I step in and **** up the order of things. Peace of mind for profit, I quote from Zato, I shall deliver death, and make a coin or two as well.
