Here is a strike I did against a very low grey which raises a very important question...

you perform a garrote perfectly (+122)
you hit for 101 (+20) damage

This is of course not the exact wording, but the point is still the same. Does this mean that the critical strike bonus (+X) is added to the amount you hit for, in this case totaling 243 total damage?

The number in the () is already added into the "You hit for..." statement.

You perform Perforate Artery Perfectly. (+455)
You hit the minor changling for 356 damage.

The difference in the 2 numbers, if the (+xxx) number is bigger, means you hit your damage cap for that weapon.

Is there was no damage cap, youd probably get something like....

You hit the minor changling for 483 damage.

Again, the wording isnt 100%, but I hope this helps answer your quesiton.
