Though only level 44 now, I've come to learn from reading posts on this board that some of my specializations are probably already as far as I should take them. In order to avoid making training mistakes, I have scoured this board to find what type of spec bonuses I should expect to have when I am level 50, so that I know exactly when to stop training each specialization line. Much thanks to everyone, and especially to Valarauco for his careful explanations.
I've summarized my conclusion in a table at the link below. It contains a complete set of armor and items a nightshade could wear to max his skills. Note, this is not a list of what we should necessarily be trying to get, but instead a list of what one could possibly get if they wanted to max these skills some day. I'd appreciate any inputs as to the accuracy of the bonuses on these items! (I was surprised to find that at level 50 I will only have 6 of my 14 items with any skill bonuses!)
Going into this are some assumptions, of course.
First, I want to have 50 stealth for RvR.
Second, I want to use Lifebane some day, so 50 Envenom.
Third, I consider all these items attainable @ level 50.
Fourth, I treat CD as a complete luxury without emphasis.
Fifth, I consider Realm rank 4 possible based on posts contained here, but I have no personal experience to justify this as I am still Rank 1 level 8.
Basically my goal was to calculate how high to take Pierce and how high I can get Critical Strike.
I did not bother trading out items in order to tweak things. That can be done later, when I actually have these items, for instance... Please do not concentrate on what the items are, as I'm sure one can get the bonuses a different way. My intent was to verify how high they really can go. But it looks clear to me that I should not train Stealth/Envenom/Pierce above 37. I can train these 3 spec's to 37 and train Crit to 44, and still have lots of points left over for something else.
I welcome inputs and corrections, and I hope this summary helps my fellow nightshades make sense of a lot of information scattered in many places. I also posted the table itself below... I don't know where all that space above the table is coming from(?).
