Just started EQ again - and decided on playing a Rogue this time. I was surprised to notice that I received a defensive skillup while using Forced Will.
I had just sat down, popped forced will and was talking to a friend when I saw the skillup. Now for the real question - does my defensive skill actually affect the regen rate of forced will? For some reason I doubt it.

Intresting ... very intresting. I've not yet had this happen to me, even though I've used it a lot recently while farming Chardok faction.

only thing this Disc is good for is Healing you while you run to the bathroom or go get a drink or change the CD in the stereo (etc etc etc..)... otherwise its just the same as a Mrylo BP
It's handy... but hardly a "balancing" skill AXIAN (Axe/ee/N)* noun. Your worst nightmare, see also: 'Whoopin' your ass'

I suppose I should mention that I was using healing will while factioning. The topic indicates the use of focused will.

Verified again today - 11 rogue got a defensive skillup when I hit forced will. I was looking for it this time.
Could mean nothing, who the heck knows.
I suppose it's not surprising that our new spells have a school, everyone elses 'do too, but I would have expected them to use something Sense Heading or maybe Common. Defense is hard to raise, this is going to be noticable.

I did some testing ...
10 hours of using focused will while farming ... 0 increases. I suppose it might have something to do with a cap perhaps? My def is 222 and one of those that got a def increase was level 11 so maybe ... time to go test healing will

Spent another hour or so messing with healing will before going out to group ... I did get a riase 30 min or so into the testing so either:
A) They both will give skill raises, but to certain caps
or
B) They both give raises and the skill raises can be VERY random
Incidently, it appears the skill increase came at the beginning of the disc so you don't need to spend the endurance ... probably (won't know till I get another skill up)

Rarity of skill raises at 222 might just be that it gets harder to raise skills that high anyway.
Go try and bring up Tailoring or something, those last few points are like pulling teeth.

Funny, sounds like the bard song that increases tiger kick for monks. (Katta's song of sworddancing)
